According to a New York Post report, two New Jersey police officers became midnight heroes last week, pulling an impaired man from death’s doorstep—just seconds before a speeding train pulverized his car.
Officers Devin Hinchcliffe and John Ward of Piscataway Township responded just after midnight to a chilling scene: a stalled vehicle resting squarely on the tracks, its driver dazed, impaired, and unmoving.
With the crossing gates dropping and a freight train barreling toward them, the two officers didn’t hesitate. They yanked the man from the car’s interior — moments before the train ripped through it.
And it was close. Very close.
The entire scene was captured in heart-stopping dashcam footage.
