WHERE’S KAMALA? VP Harris Urges ‘Patience’ 33 Days After Being Named ‘Border Czar’

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.26.21

Vice President Kamala Harris was appointed ‘Border Czar’ 33 Days ago by President Biden and has so far failed to deliver any major speech or press conference on the subject.

“The kind of work that has to happen is the diplomatic work that we have been engaged in, including my calls to the president of Mexico, the president of Guatemala,” Harris said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “But it’s not going to be solved overnight. It’s a complex issue. Listen, if this were easy, it would have been handled years ago.”

“It’s really unbelievable, again, that either the president or the vice president has not gone down to the border,” said former DHS acting Secretary Chad Wolf.

“Now, I understand the president’s busy,” he continued. “The vice president should be down at that border, understanding what is going on, talking to the law enforcement, talking to the men and women, talking to the sheriffs, talking to the ranchers, and understanding the impact that that much illegal immigration per month is having on those communities down there.

Vice President Kamala Harris was asked to comment on the spiraling border crisis taking place across the southern United States this week; blaming the total breakdown of law and order on “extreme climate.”

“We are looking at extensive storm damage because of extreme climate, we’re looking at drought in an area in a region where agriculture is one of the most traditionally important basis for their economy, we’re looking at what’s happening in terms of food scarcity as a result of that and in fact, incredible food insecurity, which we used to call hunger food insecurity,” she said.

“And we are looking at, therefore, a number of issues that also relate to poverty, extreme poverty. And also there’s violence obviously coming out of those regions,” she said. “When you look at the root causes, we’re also looking at issues of corruption. Again, we’re looking at the issue of climate resiliency and then the concern about a lack of economic opportunity.”

“The U.S. is seeing a dramatic surge in migration at the border, with 172,000 migrants encountered in March alone — and thousands more estimated to have evaded Border Patrol. The spike in unaccompanied children and migrant families in particular has overwhelmed facilities and led the Biden administration to rapidly opening facilities to house them,” reports Fox News.

“Republicans have pointed to the Biden administration’s rollback of the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), narrowing of interior enforcement and the decision not to apply Title 42 public health protections to unaccompanied children as reasons for the surge,” adds Fox.

PRESS SEC: Biden’s Border Czar Stepping Down During Crisis Because She ‘Deserves’ to Retire

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.14.21

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki dodged questions this week over the Biden administration’s handling of the current immigration crisis; saying their ‘Border Czar’ Robert Jacobson is retiring from her post because she “deserves” it.

“Why did she make the decision to step down from that post?” asked one journalist.

“It was always her intention to stay for about 100 days… She is retiring and she deserves it, she has certainly paid her time due. It was always her intention to stay a period of time,” deflected Psaki.

Vice President Kamala Harris continued to completely ignore the crisis taking place along the US-Mexico border Sunday; instead choosing to post a picture of herself aboard a private plane.

“Brighter days are ahead,” posted the VP.

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich confirmed over the weekend that Vice President Kamala Harris has failed to respond to his official invitation to tour the humanitarian crisis taking place along the US-Mexico border.

“I guess if you were a philosopher you would say no response is a very loud response because we’ve not received any response,” Brnovich told Fox Business’ Dagen McDowell.

Vice President Kamala Harris was appointed by Joe Biden to oversee the administration’s handling of the border crisis more than 20 days ago but has so-far failed to deliver any major address on the issue.

“Her assigned efforts on immigration, which includes overseeing diplomatic efforts with Northern Triangle countries, fit into a broader trend of the administration delegating substantial foreign policy responsibilities to her. For example, she has held calls with major world leaders like Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu,” reports Fox News.

“Since the beginning of the administration and a week after Biden’s announcement, Harris has fielded questions from the media but has yet to hold a formal press conference. Meanwhile, the border crisis captivated the nation’s attention and raised a series of concerns about national security and the stability of the U.S. immigration system as a whole,” adds Fox.

“So this new surge we’re dealing with now started with the last administration, but it’s our responsibility to deal with it humanely and to – and to stop what’s happening,” Biden said last Wednesday.

“And so, this increase has been consequential, but the vice president has agreed – among the multiple other things that I have her leading – and I appreciate it – agreed to lead our diplomatic effort and work with those nations to accept re- – the returnees, and enhance migration enforcement at their borders – at their borders.”

BORDER CZAR DAY 23: VP Harris Welcomes Japanese Prime Minister to the White House

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.17.21

Vice President Kamala Harris was appointed Joe Biden’s ‘Border Czar’ more than 23 days ago but spent Friday welcoming the Japanese Prime Minister to the White House; a custom traditionally performed by the President of the United States.

“It is now my great pleasure to welcome the Prime Minister of Japan and to thank him for this visit which is the first visit to the United States of a world leader since we came into office,” said Harris.

“I have been asked to lead the issue of dealing with root causes in the Northern Triangle, similar to what the then-Vice President did many years ago,” she said. “But I will tell you these are issues that aren’t going to be addressed overnight.”

“We have plans in the works to go to Guatemala as soon as possible,” added the Vice President.

Harris was appointed by Joe Biden to oversee the administration’s handling of the border crisis more than three weeks ago but has so-far failed to deliver any major address on the issue.
