President Trump unloaded on his predecessor Monday; questioning Barack Obama’s possible involvement in new allegations the FBI had an “inside man” interacting with the Trump campaign ahead of the 2016 election.
Trump was responding to recent reports that Obama’s DOJ had a potential “informant” dealing with his campaign in the months leading up to his race for the White House; saying -if true- the scandal would be bigger than Watergate.
“The Wall Street Journal asks, ‘WHERE IN THE WORLD WAS BARACK OBAMA?’ A very good question!” tweeted the President, citing a recent column that called on Obama to explain “his administration’s surveillance of affiliates of a presidential campaign.”

The President announced over the weekend his plans to have his Department of Justice investigate the claims; saying they need to “look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated” the Trump campaign.
INSIDE MAN: Former Obama Aide UNDER FIRE for CNN Leaks
Former President Barack Obama’s Intelligence Director found himself in hot water this week, following a House report that claims the senior aide “misled” Congress about leaking ‘Trump Dossier’ details to CNN.
The revelations published by the House Intelligence Committee reveal James Clapper intentionally leaked sensitive material surrounding the infamous ‘Steele Dossier’ to CNN after the 2016 presidential election.
The former Obama aide is now facing serious legal and ethical questions over how and why he leaked the information to media outlets and whether he acted alone.
“When initially asked about leaks related to the ICA in July 2017, former DNI Clapper flatly denied ‘discussing the dossier [compiled by Steele], or any other intelligence related to Russia hacking of the 2016 election with journalists’,” the report states.
It goes on to add that Clapper “subsequently acknowledged discussing the ‘dossier with CNN journalist Jake Tapper,’ and admitted that he might have spoken with other journalists about the same topic.”

INSIDE MAN: James Clapper Says Spying on Trump was ‘A GOOD THING’
The former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper raised eyebrows throughout Washington Thursday night; bizarrely calling allegations the FBI “spied” on the Trump campaign a “good thing” for the country.
Clapper was speaking with CNN’s Don Lemon when he was asked to weigh-in on recent revelations the bureau may have had an “inside man” interacting with the Trump campaign ahead of the 2016 election.
“If there was someone that was observing that sort of thing,” said Clapper, “That’s a good thing because the Russians pose a threat to the very basis of our political system.”
The President slammed the possibility of an “inside man” earlier this week, saying -if true- it would be a bigger political scandal than Watergate.
