House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi raised eyebrows across the nation Thursday when she bizarrely referred to the devastating 9/11 terror attacks as an “incident,’ claiming the Democratic Party was actually stronger on border security than Republicans.
The former Speaker of the House was addressing reporters during her weekly press conference when she suddenly downplayed the worst terrorist attack in the history of the United States.
Nancy Pelosi refers to the 9/11 terror attacks that killed nearly 3,000 Americans as just an "incident."

“We have a responsibility to protect our borders, make no mistake about that. Democrats have been strong on that point, all of our borders,” said Pelosi.
“When we had the 9/11 incident, and the commission was formed, they made recommendations to protect America. But the Republicans would never take them up,” she added.

ARMAGEDDON AGAIN: Pelosi Says ‘CIVILIZATION AT RISK’ in 2018 Midterms
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi doubled-down on her anti-Trump rhetoric this week, saying “civilization as we know it as at risk” should the Republicans continue to lead Congress following the 2018 midterm elections.
Pelosi was speaking with Rolling Stone magazine when she was asked to comment on how the Democrats were prepared to flip districts won by President Trump in 2016; saying “How do you narrow it down?”
“Civilization as we know it today is at risk in this election. We have to win. We have to win. So you can’t spread your money too thinly, because you can run the risk,” said the leading Democrat.
“If the election were today – no question we would win. But you have to be aware of the undercurrents. Because you don’t know what can come along – and what comes along eclipses what you’re doing,” she added.
Pelosi’s comments come as the over-hyped “blue wave” predicted for this November continues to crash and burn, with some polls showing the once double-digit Democrat advantage reduced to just a few points.

BLUE WAVE CRASHING: Pelosi VOWS to Run for Speaker if DEMS Take Congress
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi set off alarm bells throughout Democratic circles Thursday, confirming her plans to run for Speaker of the House should her party retake control of Congress after the 2018 midterms.
Pelosi’s comments were warmly received by Republicans across the country heading into the elections; with GOP strategists planning to tie their opponents to the unpopular Democrat as American voters head to the polls.
“We will win. I will run for speaker. I feel confident about it. And my members do, too,” Pelosi told the Boston Globe this week.
“It’s important that it not be five white guys at the table, no offense,” she added, referencing the top positions in Congress and the White House. “I have no intention of walking away from that table.”
“She is the most unpopular politician in every single competitive district in the country,” said a spokesperson for the National Republican Congressional Committee, who welcomed the news of her run for Speaker of the House.
