WHAT’S THE PLAN? Bernie Says Rent Prices in San Francisco Are ‘Unaffordable,’ Wants ‘Decent Housing for All’

posted by Hannity Staff - 7.10.19

Democratic Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders weighed-in Wednesday on the sky-high rent prices in San Francisco; saying the “richest country in the world is going to end that disgrace” by providing “decent housing” for all Americans.

“Housing is so unaffordable in San Francisco that entire families are forced to live in 6’x10′ rooms and share a kitchen with 30 other families. In the richest country in the world we are going to end that disgrace. Decent housing must be a right of all Americans,” he tweeted.

Sanders continued to wage his personal war against climate change this week; comparing the country’s struggle to stop global warming with the Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.

“In some ways…I’m reminded today in terms of the crisis that we face in climate change about where the United States was in 1941 when it was attacked at Pearl Harbor, and what happened at that point, having to fight a war on two fronts in the East and in Europe, the United States came together and within three years it had created the type of armaments program that was necessary to, in fact, win the war,” Sanders said in a conference call with reporters.

“So I don’t think the issue here isn’t that we can’t address this problem, i think we can, I think we know exactly what has to be done, and that is massive investment in sustainable energy, massive investments in energy efficiency, transform our transportation system, we know what has to be done, but the problem is the lack of political will,” he said.

“We know that the scientific consensus is here, the solutions are right in front of us but…this is not just a scientific crisis, not just an environmental crisis, a climate crisis but this is a political crisis of inaction, and it’s going to take political will, political courage in order for us to treat us this issue with the urgency that the next generation needs in order for us to preserve our way of life and preserve our planet as much as we possibly can,” added Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

The two politicians released new legislation Tuesday that would officially designate climate change “national emergency.”

BAD BUSINESS: Home Depot Founders Say Bernie Sanders is the ‘Enemy of Every Entrepreneur’ in America

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.25.19

Home Depot founders Bernie Marcus and Ken Langone spoke with Fox Business this week; saying Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is the biggest “enemy of every entrepreneur” in the United States.

“Do you get annoyed when you have big old targets, not specifically on you, but that the rich, all these Democratic candidates, to a man and woman, they single out guys like you as, this is what has happened to capitalism. Unfair,” asked host Neil Cavuto.

“Bernie Sanders is out today with a plan that will tax Wall Street trades pennies on the dollar. But it’s a start to pay for, among other things, college debt and maybe free college down the road,” he added.

“Well, look, don’t bring up Bernie Sanders, because that’s a red flag in front of me, because he’s the enemy of every entrepreneur that’s ever going to be born in this country and has been born in the past,” said Marcus. “Our kids today don’t learn Western civilization. They don’t learn history. History repeats itself. You see things happening over and over again.”

Sanders continued his calls for free public college and the elimination of student debt Monday; asking his fellow Americans if they were “truly free to pursue their dreams.”

“Are you truly free if you graduate hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt? Are you free if you cannot pursue your dream because you don’t make enough to cover your student loan payments? We will #CancelStudentDebt because there is no freedom without economic freedom,” asked Sanders on social media.

Sanders unveiled his latest proposal Monday to cancel the nation’s entire student loan debt; a move economists say will cost more than $1.6 trillion for American taxpayers.

“Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., will propose on Monday eliminating all $1.6 trillion of student debt held in the United States, a significant escalation of the policy fight in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary two days before the candidates’ first debate in Miami,” reports the Stamford Advocate.

“Sanders is proposing that the federal government pay to wipe clean the student debt held by 45 million Americans – including all private and graduate school debt – as part of a package that also would make public universities, community colleges and trade schools tuition-free,” adds the newspaper.

Sanders confirmed last week that his socialized health care proposal will “absolutely” provide coverage to every single illegal immigrant in the United States.

“We will organize the American people around the concept that all people in this country have the right to health care, and at the end of the day, we are going to win that struggle,” said Sanders during a recent speech.

“Senator, would you include the 11 million undocumented immigrants in America?” asked the moderator.

“Absolutely. When I talk about health care being a human right, the last time I heard that undocumented people are human beings,” he fired-back.

BERNIECARE: Sanders Slams Trump’s ‘LIES’ on Universal Healthcare, Says Plan Will ‘Save Money’

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.11.18

Vermont Senator and self-described Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders slammed President Trump’s “lies” about his Medicare for All program this week; saying the Commander-in-Chief misled voters in a recently published op-ed piece.

Sanders penned his own article for USA Today Thursday, doubling-down on his claims the universal healthcare system would -in fact- save Americans money and lower healthcare costs.

The Senator says Americans have President Trump’s plan on one side and, “On the other side is my ‘Medicare for All’ plan supported by 16 senators and 122 House members. It would guarantee everyone could get the health care they need without going into debt at far lower cost than the current dysfunctional system.”

“Study after study shows that when we eliminate private insurance premiums, deductibles and co-payments, the average American will pay substantially less for health care than he or she currently pays,” writes Sanders.

An independent study released earlier this year predicted Sanders’ potential plan could cost upwards of $32 trillion over a ten-year period; likely increasing after that.
