WEST COAST BERNS: Sanders Holds Massive California Rally Before Super Tuesday Showdown

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.02.20

Far-left Senator Bernie Sanders held two massive rallies in California over the weekend; addressing thousands of supporters just days before voters head to the polls for the pivotal Super Tuesday showdown.

“More than a third of all delegates are on the line Tuesday, with 14 states and American Samoa holding primaries. Of the roughly 1,350 delegates up for grabs, 415 are from California, which is why Sanders’ campaign is hoping left-wing enthusiasm there can carry them to a big win,” reports Fox News.

“Our campaign has built a multiracial, multigenerational working-class movement across California,” said Rafael Návar, the campaign’s California state director. “Our supporters and our volunteers across the state are what drives this campaign, and we have the energy and excitement to do very well here in California.”

“Sanders currently leads Biden by eight delegates heading into Super Tuesday, and former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg will appear on ballots for the first time this week after pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into his campaign,” adds Fox.

ADD IT TO THE LIST: Fading Bernie Unveils His $2.5 TRILLION ‘Housing for All’ Plan, Calls for Tax Hikes

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.18.19

Fading Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders unveiled his “Housing for All” plan Wednesday; calling for $2.5 trillion in new spending to expand government programs for low-income Americans.

“In the richest country in the history of the world, every American must have a safe, decent, accessible, and affordable home as a fundamental right,” writes Sanders. “For more than 40 years, we have had an affordable housing crisis in America that has only gotten worse. In America today, over 18 million families are paying more than 50 percent of their income on housing, while last year alone the five largest banks on Wall Street made a record-breaking $111 billion in profits.”

“If we are serious about addressing the affordable housing crisis, we need to build millions of apartments and homes throughout the country that will remain affordable in perpetuity to prevent displacement and serve future generations. And when we do that, we will create millions of good-paying jobs in the process,” adds Bernie.

The new proposal calls for $1.48 trillion to “build, rehabilitate, and preserve” affordable housing across the United States.

It calls for an additional $400 billion to construct 2 million new “units” and $500 million for “development in rural areas.”

ANOTHER FREEBIE? Bernie Sanders Vows to Provide ‘Year-Round, Free Universal School Meals’

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.29.19

Vermont Senator and 2020 presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders called for another federal program this week; saying the government should provide “year-round, free universal school meals” for every student in America.

“‘School lunch debt’ should not exist in the wealthiest country in the history of the world. When we are in the White House, we are going to provide year-round, free universal school meals,” posted Sanders on Instagram.

The school lunch program is the latest far-left proposal from Sanders, whose ‘Green New Deal’ would effectively nationalize upwards of 30% of the entire American economy.

“Atop our existing government spending, comprising some 40% of GDP, the Vermont Senator wouldn’t just nationalize one-fifth of the economy with a ‘Medicare For all’ bill eliminating private health insurance. Under his Green New Deal plan, he would also nationalize most of the energy sector,” reports the Washington Examiner.

“At a mere $16.3 trillion, the Sanders plan would go beyond simply spending measures to increase climate-focused research and development. It would literally centralize the means of domestic energy production,” adds the Examiner.

“What we need to do is have an aggressive federal government. You can’t nibble around the edges anymore. We need to transform our energy system, that means a massive increase in sustainable energy,” Sanders told MSNBC.

“Climate change is a global emergency. The Amazon rainforest is burning, Greenland’s ice shelf is melting, and the Arctic is on fire. People across the country and the world are already experiencing the deadly consequences of our climate crisis, as extreme weather events like heat waves, wildfires, droughts, floods, and hurricanes upend entire communities, ecosystems, economies, and ways of life, as well as endanger millions of lives. Communities of color,  working class people, and the global poor have borne and will bear this burden disproportionately,” writes Sanders.
