CNN Senior Data Analyst Harry Enten shared polling this week that shows the American people support Donald Trump’s immigration agenda.
“It’s his top issue,” Enten said.
“This is Trump’s net approval rating on immigration — it’s gone up like a rocket,” Enten said. “Compare now to eight years ago to Trump’s first term. In his first term, Trump was way, way, way underwater … now, he’s up twenty points.”
“There is no issue where Trump is doing so much better than he was in his first term more than the issue of immigration … Trump is begging for a fight on this because he knows that what he’s doing so far is working with the American electorate,” Enten continued.
Enten says Americans agree with Trump on “the broad issue” of immigration and the “specifics.”
Enten also says Americans feel Democrats “don’t have a clue” on immigration.
