'WE ENCOURAGE THAT': Psaki Says White House Encourages 'Peaceful' Protests Outside Justices' Homes

During Tuesday’s White House Press conference, press secretary Jen Psaki said the White House continues to encourage peaceful protests outside the homes of the conservative justices of the Supreme Court.

“I think I said yesterday, but I’m happy to repeat because I think it’s important for everybody to hear that the president’s long-standing view has been that violence, threats, and intimidation of any kind have no place in political discourse,” Psaki said Tuesday. “And we believe, of course, in peaceful protests.”

“So, I know that there’s an outrage right now, I guess, about protests that have been peaceful to date, and we certainly continue to encourage that outside of judges homes,” Psaki later added. “And that’s the president’s position.”

Prominent voices within the GOP are speaking out against the Biden Administration’s lack of action when it comes to deterring protestors and acts of violence.

“It’s disgraceful that Democrats are championing the radicals who are protesting at Justices’ homes and protesting in churches,” Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) tweeted along with a clip of his appearance on Hannity.

“We can’t tolerate intimidation as a political tool It’s 1 thing to peacefully demonstrate & another to undermine institutions like SCOTUS+harass justices at home bc of a decision u might not like And ANYONE making threats of violence should be arrested & prosecuted,” Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) tweeted.

“The radical left is threatening justices into allowing their 24/7 abortion-on-demand agenda,” tweeted Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN). “Meanwhile, the Biden White House and DOJ have been eerily silent — once again refusing to uphold the law.”

“Anyone protesting outside a judge’s home should be arrested and charged with a federal crime,” tweeted Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR)
