WATCH NOW: President Trump Meets With Volodymyr Zelenskyy Amid Fresh Push for Peace

President Trump will welcome Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the White House on Friday — their third meeting since Trump’s return to office in January — as the administration continues its hands-on push to end the war in Eastern Europe on America’s terms.

The first visit between the two leaders was rocky; the second, which included several European heads of state, ran far more smoothly. This time, the talks are expected to focus on Ukraine’s request for U.S.-made Tomahawk missiles — long-range weapons capable of flying at low altitudes and striking strategic targets deep inside Russia.

The White House has signaled caution about providing those missiles, wary of escalating the conflict. Still, Trump’s approach — personal diplomacy backed by leverage — has already redefined America’s role in the region.

On Thursday, Trump spoke directly with Russian President Vladimir Putin, announcing plans for a second summit in Budapest, Hungary, on a date yet to be finalized. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will lead preliminary discussions with Russian officials ahead of that meeting.

Trump’s message remains consistent: peace through strength — and deals made face to face.
