Far-left Senator Bernie Sanders viciously labeled the current Israel Government “racist” and “right-wing” during a campaign event Tuesday; saying people in the region have a right to “security” and “independence.”
“Most of my biological family still lives over there, and I find myself regularly concerned for their safety. How do US-Israel relations look under your administration?” asked one audience member.
“I spent six months of my life in Israel. I have a cousin who lives in Israel. I will do everything I can to protect the independence and security of the people of Israel. Israelis have the right to live in a safe nation… But I must tell you this, to be for the Israeli people does not mean that we have to support right-wing, racist governments that currently exist in Israel,” said Bernie.

BERNIE BACKS OMAR: Sanders Defends Omar’s ‘Legitimate Criticism’ of Israel
Vermont Senator and potential 2020 Democratic nominee Bernie Sanders defended Rep. Ilhan Omar’s fierce anti-Israeli rhetoric Thursday; saying Americans shouldn’t “equate” anti-Semitism with “legitimate criticism” of the Jewish State.
“Anti-Semitism is a hateful and dangerous ideology which must be vigorously opposed in the United States and around the world,” said Sanders. “We must not, however, equate anti-Semitism with legitimate criticism of the right-wing, Netanyahu government in Israel.”
“Rather, we must develop an even-handed Middle East policy which brings Israelis and Palestinians together for a lasting peace,” he added.
House Democrats will vote Thursday on a resolution “against bigotry” that fails to explicitly condemn Omar’s recent series of anti-Israeli statements and posts on social media.

BERNIE RIPS BIBI: Sanders Slams Israel’s ‘Racist Government,’ Says Netanyahu Treats Palestinians ‘Unfairly’
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders slammed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a town hall event Monday; saying the foreign leader runs a “racist government” that treats “Palestinians unfairly.”
“So what I believe is the United States gives billions of dollars in military aid to Israel. What I believe is not radical. I just believe that the United States should deal with the Middle East on a level playing field basis. In other words, the goal must be to try to bring people together and not just support one country, which is now run by a right-wing, dare I say, racist government,” said Sanders.

“I am not anti-Israel but the fact of the matter is that Netanyahu is a right-wing politician who, I think, is treating the Palestinian people extremely unfairly,” he added.
