UPDATE: Whistleblower Lawyer Defends ‘Coup’ Tweets, Says Simply Referring to ‘Lawful Process’

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.07.19

The so-called whistleblower’s attorney at the center of an escalating scandal regarding his “coup” comments in January 2017 defended his remarks Thursday; saying he was simply referring to a “lawful process.”

“Those tweets were reflective and repeated the sentiments of millions of people,” Zaid said. “I was referring to a completely lawful process of what President Trump would likely face as a result of stepping over the line, and that particularly whatever would happen would come about as a result of lawyers. The coup comment referred to those working inside the Administration who were already, just a week into office, standing up to him to enforce recognized rules of law.“

“Based on the information released last night about the Fake Whistleblowers attorney, the Impeachment Hoax should be ended IMMEDIATELY! There is no case, except against the other side!” posted the President on social media.

A series of public tweets from the so-called whistleblower’s attorney is shedding new light on his blatant anti-Trump bias this week; revealing he called for a “coup” against President Trump in January 2017.

“#coup has started. First of many steps. #rebellion. #impeachment will follow ultimately. #lawyers,” posted Mark Zaid.

“It’s very scary. We will get rid of him, and this country is strong enough to survive even him and his supporters. We have to,” he posted months later.

GOWDY ON WHISTLEBLOWER: You Can’t Use ‘Anonymous Sources’ in the Courtroom

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.24.19

Former Congressman Trey Gowdy stopped by ‘Hannity’ Monday night to weigh-in on the media’s latest attack on President Trump; saying he could never use “anonymous sources in a courtroom.”

“Congressman, walk me through this,” said Hannity, referring to the Democrats’ recent obsession with Trump’s private phone call with the President of Ukraine.

“No offense to reporters, but I couldn’t use anonymous sources in a courtroom, every witness I called was cross-examined. The reporters do whatever it is they do; I need to eyeball the witness and judge their credibility,” said Gowdy.

“If you’re going to investigate one fact pattern, you have to investigate a nearly identical fact pattern. What they don’t like is the duplicity of always looking at Republicans but having the tendency to ignore [Democrats],” he added.

GRAHAM: Whistleblower Statute Was Never Meant to Guarantee ‘Anonymity’

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.05.19

Sen. Lindsey Graham ripped the Democrats’ ongoing impeachment inquiry at the US Capitol Tuesday; saying the whistleblower statute was never meant to guarantee an individual’s anonymity.

“The whistleblower statute was never meant to give you anonymity. It was meant for you to come forward without being fired. You can’t use anonymity in a criminal process, you can’t use anonymity in a civil process. You shouldn’t able to,” said Graham.

Senator Lindsey Graham stopped-by The Sean Hannity show last week to weigh-in on the Democrats’ latest push to legitimize their ongoing impeachment process; saying the current situation is “completely different than what happened to Clinton and Nixon.”

“At the end of the day, everything still is in the hands of the compromised leader of this witch hunt, which is Adam Schiff,” said Hannity.

“Yeah, you’re dead right,” fired-back Graham. “There’s never been an Intel Committee involved in impeachment for a reason. So, under this resolution, the Intel Committee is to lead the investigative committee.”

“It’s completely different than what happened to Clinton and Nixon. The goal of this thing is to try and legitimize an unfair process. This is a sham… Democrats who vote for this, you’re voting for a process that would destroy every President in the future,” he added.

Democratic members of the House of Representatives approved new legislation last Thursday that formalizes their impeachment inquiry against President Trump; passing the resolution along party lines.

The final vote was 232-196. Two Democrats voted against the investigation.

“The Greatest Witch Hunt In American History!” posted Trump shortly after the vote.

“With today’s vote, Speaker Pelosi and the Democrats have done nothing more than enshrine unacceptable violations of due process into House rules,” said White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham.
