A stunning report published by the United Nations this week is shedding new light on the staggering humanitarian crisis taking place in Venezuela; confirming nearly two million people have fled the socialist nation since 2015.
The UN called for a “non-political” response to help stem the regional crisis; adding 5,000 people are leaving Venezuela on a daily basis for neighboring countries.
“A non-political and humanitarian approach is essential to help states receiving them in growing numbers,” said the head of the UN Refugee Agency. “Some 5,000 people are now leaving Venezuela daily – the largest population movement in Latin America’s recent history.”
Venezuela’s socialist President Nicolas Maduro issued a series of “revolutionary” economic policies earlier this year to ease runaway inflation; raising the minimum wage by 3,000% and slashing five zeroes off the nation’s struggling currency.

“We are going to fight for Venezuela and we are going to continue doing it until Maduro is gone!” yelled Haley.
“We need your voices to be loud and I will tell you, the US voice is going to be loud,” she added. “What we saw is what no one should live … while Maduro is eating in nice restaurants.”
Haley’s comments come days after Maduro was seen dining on $100 steaks and smoking lavish cigars during a recent trip to Asia to secure aid for his starving citizens.

MADURO TO USA: Venezuela’s Socialist President Jets to NYC as Citizens Starve
Venezuela’s socialist President Nicolas Maduro departed for the United States Wednesday; hoping to secure international aid for his nation’s crumbling economy during the annual meeting of the United Nations General Assembly.
The left-wing leader is expected to touch-down in New York City Wednesday evening, where he vowed to “defend the truth of Venezuela” and to “bring the voice of our Fatherland” to the United States.
“I am landing in New York to defend the truth of Venezuela, to bring the voice of our fatherland,” said Maduro.
The socialist president routinely accuses President Trump and other Western leaders of plotting to overthrow his regime.
The visit comes just hours after the White House unveiled a series of sanctions against Maduro’s wife and other top officials with the hopes of clamping down on widespread corruption.
