Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard filed a lawsuit this week for $50 million in damages after Hillary Clinton accused the lawmaker of secretly working with the Russians to interfere in the 2020 presidential election.
“Democratic presidential candidate Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii is accusing former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of deliberately spreading false accusations that Gabbard is a Russian asset in a lawsuit seeking upwards of $50 million in damages,” reports Fox News.
“Rather than facts or reliable evidence, Clinton’s basis for the Defamatory Statements was one or both of: (a) her own imagination; or (b) extremely dubious conspiracy theories that any reasonable person (and especially Clinton, a former United States Senator and Secretary of State) would know to be fanciful, wholly unverified, and inherently and objectively unreliable,” said the lawsuit, filed Wednesday in Manhattan federal court.
“One would expect someone of Mrs. Clinton’s political background to act with a greater level of maturity and dignity, but her personal hostility toward Rep. Gabbard apparently clouded Mrs. Clinton’s reason and blinded her to U.S. defamation laws,” Gabbard’s attorney Brian Dunne said in a statement.

2016 REMATCH: Bernie Calls-Out Hillary Clinton for ‘Outrageous’ Tulsi Gabbard Smear
The Democratic backlash against Hillary Clinton continued this week after she labeled Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard a “Russian asset,” with Sen. Bernie Sanders calling his former political opponent’s comments “outrageous.”
“Tulsi Gabbard has put her life on the line to defend this country. People can disagree on issues, but it is outrageous for anyone to suggest that Tulsi is a foreign asset,” posted Sanders on social media.

Gabbard released a fiery video in response to Clinton’s comments earlier this week; calling Hillary the “queen of warmongers.”
“Great! Thank you @HillaryClinton. You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain. From the day I announced my candidacy, there has been a concerted campaign to destroy my reputation. We wondered who was behind it and why. Now we know — it was always you,” posted Gabbard on social media.

BREAKING: Tulsi Gabbard Sues Hillary Clinton for Defamation in Federal Court Over Russia Accusations
Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard sued Hillary Clinton in federal court this week over baseless allegations the lawmaker was covertly working with the Russian government to subvert the 2020 presidential election.
“Presidential candidate Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) sued Hillary Clinton for defamation in federal court in Manhattan on Wednesday, claiming Clinton intentionally lied about a Gabbard connection to Russia to hurt her campaign,” reports NBC New York. “Though the Clinton and Gabbard camps have been at odds for years, the suit hinges on comments the former Secretary of State made on a podcast late last year, when she suggested that Gabbard was Russia’s pick in this year’s election.”
“Clinton falsely stated that Tulsi—an Army National Guard officer and United States Congresswoman who has spent her entire adult life serving this country—is a ‘Russian asset.’ Clinton’s false assertions were made in a deliberate attempt to derail Tulsi’s presidential campaign,” Gabbard said in the suit.
