Well here’s something out of the blue. And mere days before Abe Lincoln’s February 12th birthday.
Accompanied by a photo of the shimmering copper coins bearing Lincoln’s profile, Breitbart reports that:
“President Donald Trump announced he had instructed Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to have the Treasury Department stop making new pennies, explaining that it costs more than two cents to make them.”
In other words, in your pockets of loose change you may well have a small collection of valuable historic artifacts. No word about removing Abe from the five dollar bill.
