TOTAL RECALL? Push to Remove Gavin Newsom ‘Gaining Steam’ in California

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.18.20

From Fox News:

The push to recall California Gov. Gavin Newsom is gaining momentum.

“It’s probably one of the most important efforts I have worked on in over 40 years of campaign efforts,” Rescue California campaign manager Anne Dunsmore told “Fox & Friends” on Thursday.

Dunsmore said the citizen movement has 2,000-3,000 active volunteers on the ground in California.

“The citizen movement on this is really something to see and you have to see it to believe it,” Dunsmore said.

“Rescue California is sort of an auxiliary group. We sort of have been referred to as the calvary on this. We original petitioners are an incredibly strong group of volunteers that started this effort in February and actually got on the ground in June, collecting signatures.”

Meanwhile, one of the leading proponents of recalling Newsom said Tuesday on “America’s Newsroom” that the governor’s hypocrisy and missteps on coronavirus had prompted the effort to remove him from office.

“What makes this different is it’s Gavin Newsom itself,” Recall Gavin Newsom senior adviser Randy Economy said. “This governor is his own worst enemy, and every day he does something more that puts him deeper and deeper into controversy, and he’s become a problem here in California. He shut down the fifth-largest economy in the world the last nine months, and every single person out there in California should be outraged by that.”

CALIFORNIA CURFEW: Newsom Imposes ‘Limited’ Curfew For Most of California to Stop CoVID

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.20.20

California Governor Gavin Newsom imposed a “limited” curfew Thursday night for most residents in the Golden State; mandating everyone stay home between the hours of 10pm and 5am to slow the spread of CoVID-19.

“The virus is spreading at a pace we haven’t seen since the start of this pandemic and the next several days and weeks will be critical to stop the surge. We are sounding the alarm,” Newsom said in a statement released Thursday afternoon. “It is crucial that we act to decrease transmission and slow hospitalizations before the death count surges. We’ve done it before and we must do it again.”

“Roughly 94% of Californians — 37 million people — live in counties that are in the purple tier, which has forced many businesses in those communities to suspend or severely restrict the number of customers allowed indoors,” reports the Los Angeles Times.

CALIFORNIA SCHEMIN’: Newsom Promised 10% Pay Cut for Himself, Never Happened, Blames Clerical Error

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.21.20

California Governor promised a 10% pay cut for all state workers to help finance the budget during the Coronavirus pandemic, but failed to so for himself; blaming an “administrative error” for receiving his full salary.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has been drawing his full monthly salary despite asking state workers in May to take a pay cut to alleviate the state’s burden in fighting the coronavirus pandemic,” reports Fox News. “Though elected state officials are exempt from such pay cuts, Newsom pledged that he would voluntarily slash his salary when he asked state workers to make that same sacrifice.”

That never happened. Newsom continues to receive his $17,479 per month payment.

“The Governor publicly committed to taking the same pay cut as other state workers when he introduced his budget in May and has officially asked the Controller to adjust his pay, effective July 1,” said a spokesperson for the Governor’s office.  “The reductions for both July and August will be deduced for the next pay period.”
