The Biden campaign added author and commentator Karine Jean-Pierre to his team this week; hiring the strategist as a senior advisor despite her claim in 2017 that people who have been accused of sexual harassment should never run for office.
“If you’re running for office, you can’t have been accused of sexual harassment or assault. I think that we have to take that next step here and make sure that doesn’t happen to anyone in office or out of office,” said Jean-Pierre.
Joe Biden's new senior advisor is a #MeToo hypocrite. @K_JeanPierre said we need to "believe women" and that someone being "accused of sexual harassment or assault" disqualified them from running for office.

“Joe Biden has hired Karine Jean-Pierre, a veteran African American political strategist, as a senior adviser to his presidential campaign as the presumptive Democratic nominee pivots to the general election campaign,” writes the Washington Post.
“I’ve known Joe Biden for 10 years now. I believe he’s a man of integrity, he’s a man who knows how to lead, he’s a man who knows how to use the levers of government to help people and he’s the man who could beat Donald Trump in November. For me, as a black woman, I just could not sit this out,” she added.

AOC on BIDEN ACCUSER: ‘She Has Never Explicitly Said: ‘Don’t Support Joe Biden!’
Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez weighed-in on recent allegations of sexual misconduct against Joe Biden this week; saying his accuser never “explicitly said don’t support him!”
“Instead of focusing on her account, on her story as a survivor, people are focusing on the politics… Frankly, this is a messy moment, and I think we need to acknowledge that — that it is not clear cut … [Tara Reade] has never explicitly said, ‘Don’t Support Joe Biden!’” said Rep. Ocasio-Cortez.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi doubled-down on her support of Joe Biden despite recent allegations of sexual assault during his time in the Senate; saying for her the “case is closed.”
“Joe Biden speaking out days ago on allegations of sexual assault… Do you view this is a closed issue?” asked one reporter from MSNBC.
“It is for me!” said Pelosi. “I’m proud to support Joe Biden for President. I believe him when he says it didn’t happen… I will just say, I have every confidence that Joe Biden will be a great President of the United States.”

BIDEN on ALLEGATIONS: ‘I Think Women Should Be Believed… BUT This Never Happened’
Former Vice President Joe Biden deflected questions regarding recent allegations of sexual assault during his time in the Senate; saying “all women should be believed” but adding “this never happened.”
“On these allegations from Tara Reade… I know you’ve denied them, but you’ve also said all women should be believed. What do you say to Americans who believe Tara Reade and won’t vote for you because of it,” asked George Stephanopoulos.
“That’s their right. I think women should be believed. They should have an opportunity to state their case… Then it’s the responsibility of journalists to go out and investigate those. At the end of the day, the truth is the truth… This never happened. That’s the truth,” said Biden.
