THIS IS CNN: Network Questions if US Will ‘Be a Democracy’ After MEMO Release

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.02.18

The mainstream media’s all-out panic attack over the impending FISA memo release reached a fever pitch Thursday night, with a CNN political analyst outright questioning the nature of American democracy should the President discloses the controversial document.

CNN analyst Brian Karem was speaking with a network panel when he made his outlandish claim; saying the release of the bombshell FISA memo may represent the end of the country as we know it.

“That is the most disingenuous piece of verbiage I’ve heard today,” said Karem. “This is a tipping point for our democracy. Are we going to be a democracy after today? Or is this going to be demagoguery and despotism?

“The simple fact of the matter is: he talks about transparency. This is an administration that hasn’t had a single solo press conference in a year,” he added. “By the way, if you’re going to be transparent, then release the Democratic version as well.”

RELEASE THE MEMO: DOJ Seeks to BLOCK CONGRESS from Releasing FISA Bombshell

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.25.18

The Department of Justice is seeking to block Congressional leaders from publicly releasing a bombshell memo outlining widespread FISA abuse at the DOJ; telling the House Intelligence Committee it would be “extraordinarily reckless” to publish the documents.

Justice Department officials sent the strongly-worded letter to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes Wednesday, instructing the GOP Representative to seek approval from both the DOJ and the FBI before releasing the explosive material to members of Congress; claiming the move would be detrimental to “national security.”

The bombshell memo reportedly details widespread abuse of the FISA courts to deploy the nation’s top-secret surveillance tools on American citizens; possibly including President Trump and his senior aides in the run-up to the 2016 general election and his inauguration.

The scathing letter from the DOJ denies any abuse of FISA courts or other surveillance systems by the Department of Justice or the FBI.

“As you know, we have provided [the House Intelligence Committee] with more than 1,000 pages of classified documents relating to the FBI’s relationship, if any, with a source and its reliance, if any, on information provided by that source.”

GOP legislators who have seen the memo describe its contents as “jaw-dropping” and claim the report may shed new light on the level of anti-Trump bias at the Department of Justice.

RELEASE THE MEMO: FBI Has ‘GRAVE CONCERNS’ Over Releasing FISA Memo

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.31.18

The Department of Justice and the FBI said they had “grave concerns” over releasing the controversial FISA memo to the American public on Wednesday, claiming the bureau had “limited opportunity” to review the document and had concerns regarding “material omissions.”

The agency released an official statement on the four-page document this week, just one day after the House Intelligence Committee voted to release the bombshell material to the public.

The Justice Department had previously voiced its opposition to disclosing the material, which reportedly highlights widespread abuse of FISA courts at the DOJ to intentionally surveil American citizens -possibly senior Trump associates.

“The FBI was provided a limited opportunity to review this memo the day before the committee voted to release it,” said a statement from the bureau. “As expressed during our initial review, we have grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo’s accuracy.”

“The FBI takes seriously its obligations to the FISA Court and its compliance with procedures overseen by career professionals in the Department of Justice and the FBI. We are committed to working with the appropriate oversight entities to ensure the continuing integrity of the FISA process,” added the agency.
