A senior law enforcement analyst at CNN offered a stinging rebuke to President Trump’s recent calls to permit law-abiding teachers to “harden” school security; saying female staffers aren’t prepared to handle firearms because they wear “dresses or skirts.”
CNN’s Tom Fuentes was weighing-in on the nations’ response to the devastating school shooting in south Florida earlier this month when he made the bizarre policy recommendation; claiming women would have a hard time carrying a gun because of their clothing choices.
“One of the things that people don’t talk about… a lot of these schools like Sandy Hook had an all-female faculty. From principal to teachers, and for a woman where are you going to hide that gun during the day?” asked Fuentes.
“You can’t put it your desk drawer, somebody might steal it or you can’t get to it. You’re not going to have it in a safe in the principal’s office, you can’t get to it,” he added. “If you wear a dress or skirt, are you going to have to wear a jacket every day with a belt and a holster the way a detective on-duty would do?”

ACOSTA'S EDUCATION: Mick Mulvaney SCHOOLS Jim Acosta Using SIMPLE MATH
White House Budget Director Mick Mulvaney shot down CNN senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta during the daily press briefing on Friday, schooling the reporter with simple math on why Democrats are needed to keep the government fully funded.
Mulvaney was taking questions from reporters when Acosta pounced on the budget director’s use of the term “Schumer Shutdown” to describe Democratic opposition to passing a short-term spending bill.
“How can it be the ‘Schumer Shutdown’ when Republicans control the White House, the House and the Senate,” asked a bewildered Acosta.
“Come on you know the answer to that as well as anybody,” Mulvaney fired-back. “I have to laugh when people say that […] You know as well as anybody that it takes 60 votes in the Senate to pass an appropriations bill.”
“You know that, right?” pressed Mulvaney. “So, if you only have 51 votes in the Senate, then you have to have Democrat support to fund the government. So that’s the answer to your question.”
