THIN AIR: MSNBC's Rachel Maddow Spends Not Even One Minute on Kirk Assassination

posted by Hannity Staff - 9.17.25

One of the most significant conservative voices in America is silenced by an assassin’s bullet — and MSDNC’s Rachel Maddow couldn’t care less.

Maddow devoted just 22 seconds of airtime to the assassination of Charlie Kirk during Monday’s episode of her weekly MSNBC talk show. It was her first broadcast since the killing last week.

Maddow called the murder “horrific” before pivoting to speculation about whether Trump administration officials might use the event to justify broader crackdowns.

You don’t hate the media enough.

“Hey, once you’ve got an enemies list, no reason to keep it short,” Maddow said, according to Mediaite.

Maddow made just one mention of Kirk on her Monday show.

Maddow then read verbatim a New York Times headline of a story about the White House planning a “broad crackdown of liberal groups.”

In June last year, Kirk denounced Maddow for a segment which he described as a “typical leftist smear.” Kirk’s X post has attracted more attention following his assassination.

“Rachel Maddow spent an entire segment last year calling Charlie Kirk a racist,” commented the official X account of OutKick. “Yet in her first show back since his death, she spent just 22 seconds on his assassination.”
