Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders doubled-down on his wealth redistribution proposal during a town hall event Monday night; telling an audience member you’re “damn right” he plans to raise taxes on wealthy Americans and large corporations.
"‘Am I going to demand that the wealthy and large corporations start paying their fair share of taxes?’ Damn right, I will!”

“What we have in America is a whole lot of wealth… What I believe, is that in a Democratic, civilized society healthcare is a right, making sure our kids can get a higher education is a right, that we rebuild our crumbling infrastructure is a basic need,” said Sanders.
“That’s going to cost money… Am I going to demand that the wealthy and large corporations start paying their fair share in taxes? Damn right, I will,” he added.
BUSTED: Video Shows Bernie Praising FIDEL CASTRO, Describes Himself as a ‘SOCIALIST’
Recently unearthed footage from 1985 shows then-Mayor Bernie Sanders describing himself as an outright “socialist” and praising Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro; saying the Latin American leader “educated the kids” and “gave them health care.”

“One of the things I think I learned on my trip, you know, as a socialist the word ‘socialism’ doesn’t frighten me […] And everybody was totally convinced that Castro was the worst guy in the world, that all the Cuban people were going to rise up in rebellion against Fidel Castro,” said Sanders.
“They forgot that he educated the kids, gave them health care, totally transformed the society. But just because Ronald Reagan dislikes these people does not mean that the people of their own nation feel the same way,” he added.

CLIMATE? SOCIALISM? Hillary Staffers Say Bernie Demanded PRIVATE JETS Throughout 2016 Campaign
A senior insider with Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 presidential bid shed new light on the relationship between her campaign and Sen. Bernie Sanders this week; saying the Vermont socialist demanded private jets while stumping for the former Secretary of State.
“I’m not shocked that while thousands of volunteers braved the heat and cold to knock on doors until their fingers bled in a desperate effort to stop Donald Trump, his Royal Majesty King Bernie Sanders would only deign to leave his plush D.C. office or his brand new second home on the lake if he was flown around on a cushy private jet like a billionaire master of the universe,” former Clinton campaign rapid response director Zac Petkanas told Politico.
“We would try to fight it as much as possible because of cost and availability of planes, but they would request [a jet] every time,” another staffer told Politico. “We would always try to push for commercial. … At the campaign, you’re constantly trying to save like 25 cents.”
“In the two years following the presidential election, Sanders continued his frequent private jet travel, spending at least $342,000 on the flights,” adds Politico.
