Former NYC Mayoral candidate and founder of the Guardian Angels Curtis Sliwa stopped by Fox News’ Hannity to discuss the incident in the NYS subway in which passengers subdued an out-of-control vagrant passenger, resulting in his death by strangulation.
“So 42 priors…this guy is getting out of control. But it wasn’t just the marine who stepped in to restrain this guy,” host Sean Hannity says before he asks for Sliwa’s take on the story.
“15 minutes. No police responded because we don’t have enough police. We’re down to a dangerously low number: 32,000. So he did what we want citizens to do —intervene…you have an emotionally disturbed person who is schizophrenic. A warrant was out for his arrest. He had hit and knocked out a 67-year-old woman in the street. So law enforcement was pursuing him…these people need medical help but these people leave them in the subways.”
“So who do we blame? A hero who has done his service in the United States Marine Corps.”
