4:05 PM ET – Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House, author of Trump’s America: The Truth about Our Nation’s Great Comeback, his latest NY Times bestseller, will be here today to discuss the news over the past week. The GDP growth to 4.1%, the negotiations with the European Commissioner and the run up to 2018 midterm elections. From the Speaker’ op-ed in FOX News:
Early in his presidency, when Donald Trump said U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) would exceed 3 percent growth, the supposed experts in the mainstream media claimed such growth would most likely be impossible.
In fact, the experts claimed unemployment would have to reach zero percent and immigration would have to double to meet such a high growth rate (despite the fact that 3.22 percent has been the average GDP growth rate over the last 71 years).
Well, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce on Friday, “real gross domestic product increased at an annual rate of 4.1 percent in the second quarter of 2018.”
It seems President Trump has once again achieved the impossible. As it turns out, despite refrains from the elites in the media and establishment, the self-made billionaire who now leads our country knows quite a bit about creating a healthy economy.
5:05 PM ET – Peter Schweizer, author of Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends and President of the Government Accountability Institute, and Gregg Jarrett, Fox News Legal Analyst and author of The Russian Hoax, The Illicit Scheme to Clear Hillary Clinton and Frame Donald Trump, go through all of this news on the Russia Probe, Carter Page, Rosenstein’s impeachment papers, and the ongoing search for the truth:
House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes claimed Sunday that the American public will be “shocked” when it sees the remaining blacked out portions of the FBI’s applications for spy warrants against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
“We are quite confident that once the American people see these 20 pages, at least for those that will get real reporting on this issue, they will be shocked by what’s in that FISA application,” Nunes said in an interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo.
Nunes’ comments raise expectations about what information remains hidden behind 20-plus pages of the FBI’s fourth and final application for a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant against Page.
The Department of Justice released portions of the four FISA applications on July 20 in response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. A majority of the information remains redacted because it is classified.
Nunes and his fellow Republicans on the Intelligence Committee asked President Donald Trump in a June 14 letter to declassify 21 pages from the final FISA application, which was signed by deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. (h/t The Daily Caller)
