5:00 PM ET – Caleb Davisson, Former US Marine, (3rd Battalion 2nd Marine Regiment Scout Sniper Platoon), Velvet, Caleb’s Canine Companions PTSD dog, join the show to discuss how dogs can change veteran’s lives.

Caleb was one of the first people to volunteer for a joint study the Veterans Administration is conducting with Canine Companions for Independence to scientifically document whether veterans with PTSD as a primary diagnosis can be helped with a highly trained service dog. Caleb was matched with Velvet during this study. Velvet is a 6-year-old lab/golden retriever cross who has been trained by Canine Companions for Independence to help Caleb with his PTSD symptoms in a variety of ways by performing specific commands- The commands include, “block”, “search”, “light”, “lap”, “behind”.
