SESSIONS UNDER FIRE: Trump SLAMS the AG Over Bruce Ohr, 'Dirty Dossier'

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.20.18

President Trump slammed Attorney General Jeff Sessions this week; unloading on his senior aide over Bruce Ohr’s continued employment at the Department of Justice after recent revelations surrounding his relationship with the ‘Dirty Dossier.’

The President called-out Sessions Monday morning in a scathing post on social media, asking “Will Bruce Ohr, whose family received big money for helping to create the phony, dirty and discredited Dossier, ever be fired from the Jeff Sessions ‘Justice’ Department? A total joke!”

The President has routinely criticized Sessions over a host of issues; including his refusal to shut down the Mueller probe and his decision to recuse himself from all matters pertaining to the Trump campaign.

STEELE NERVES: Bruce Ohr and Christopher Steele TERRIFIED Over Comey Firing, Feared ‘EXPOSURE’

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.17.18

A treasure trove of recently released communications between the DOJ’s Bruce Ohr and former British spy Christopher Steele reveal both men were ‘highly concerned’ over James Comey’s firing; admitting they feared ‘exposure’ following his removal.

According to Fox News, a series of emails, texts, and handwritten notes show both men were deeply disturbed by Comey’s termination, with Ohr saying that Steele “was very concerned (abt) about [former FBI Director James] Comey’s firing — afraid they will be exposed.”

“The Ohr documents shed more light on Steele’s activities before the presidential election. While Steele shopped the dossier to multiple media outlets, he also appeared to ask Ohr for help with a Russian oligarch — Oleg Deripaska — after rumors the U.S. might impose sanctions,” writes Fox News.

FAMILY TIES: Fusion GPS Hired WIFE of DOJ Official to SNOOP on Trump

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.13.17

The co-founder of the shady opposition research firm Fusion GPS admitted to Congressional investigators that his organization hired the wife of a top DOJ official to help investigate President Trump; raising new questions over how the infamous ‘Trump Dossier’ was compiled and who financed the phony report.

According to recently obtained court documents, Glenn Simpson told federal authorities that his firm held high-level meetings with Bruce Ohr –who was recently demoted from the Department of Justice for failing to disclose his meetings with Fusion GPS- and hired his wife, Nellie Ohr, to help investigate then-candidate Donald Trump last year.

“Fusion GPS has attracted scrutiny because Republican lawmakers have spent the better part of this year investigating whether the dossier, which was funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee, served as the basis for the Justice Department and the FBI to obtain FISA surveillance last year on a Trump campaign adviser named Carter Page,” reports Fox News.

On Tuesday, senior Trump attorney Jay Sekulow called for a second special counsel to investigate possible conflicts of interest surrounding Ohr and other Department of Justice officials.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said he was “aware” of Sekulow’s request, adding that he will pursue the “appropriate course of action.”

“I’ve put a senior attorney, with the resources he may need, to review cases in our office and make a recommendation to me … if things aren’t being pursued that need to be pursued, if cases may need more resources to complete in a proper manner, and to recommend to me if the standards for a special counsel are met,” said Sessions.
