According to a Fox News report, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who has been selected by the GOP to deliver the Republican response to President Biden’s State of the Union address plans to hit Joe on some old familiar weak points.

Sanders, the youngest governor in the nation, will discuss how it’s time for a new generation of leadership in America. It will be pointed commentary directed at Biden, who is the oldest-serving president in United States history.
She will say that Biden is unwilling to defend our border, defend our skies, and defend our people. The bottom line of her address is that he is unfit to serve as commander-in-chief.
Sanders will highlight how the GOP is fighting in state capitals and in Washington D.C. to hold Biden accountable and supports safe communities, jobs, and freedom from the woke mob.
The governor will frame the differences between Republicans and Democrats as freedom vs. government control.
It’s not a choice between right or left, she will say. The choice is between normal or crazy — which, interestingly, is more or less how House Democratic Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., presented the divide between Republicans and Democrats in remarks last month. Of course, in Jeffries’ mind, Democrats are on “team normal” while Republicans represent “team extreme.”
Both Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell support Sanders, insisting she is the right person to lead the GOP response.
“Americans are still struggling from inflation, a border crisis, record crime, and a failing school system. As House Republicans work to fix these problems in Congress with our Commitment to America, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders is addressing them head-on with her conservative agenda outside of Washington,” McCarthy said. “The youngest governor in America, Sarah is fighting on behalf of parents, small businesses, and ordinary taxpayers.”
“She is bringing new ideas for a changing future, while also applying the wisdom of the past, including from the leadership of her father, Mike [Huckabee],” he added. “She is a servant-leader of true determination and conviction. I’m thrilled Sarah will share her extraordinary story and bold vision for a better America on Tuesday. Everyone, including President Biden, should listen carefully.”
