White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders didn’t mince words during her daily briefing on Tuesday, blasting CNN correspondent April Ryan for accusing the President of making “sexual innuendos” regarding New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.
Sanders was speaking with reporters when Ryan pressed the Secretary on the President’s recent tweet, saying the liberal legislator “would do anything” for campaign contributions.
“Is Gillibrand owed an apology for the misunderstanding of the President’s tweet this morning, because many –including the Senator- think it’s about sexual innuendos,” said the CNN journalist.
“I think only if your mind is in the gutter would you have read it that way,” fired-back Sanders.
“He’s obviously talking about political partisan games that people often play and the broken system that he’s talked about repeatedly,” she added. “This isn’t new. This isn’t a new sentiment. This isn’t new terminology. He’s used it several times before referencing men of both parties, in fact.”
“If you look back on the comments he’s made, it was very clear what his reference was,” said the Press Secretary.

FIREWORKS: Huckabee Sanders GOES NUCLEAR on CNN’s Jim Acosta
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders unloaded on CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta on Monday, getting into a heated exchange over recent anti-Trump stories that were “purposely misleading the American people.”
“I would just say Sarah, that journalists make honest mistakes, and that doesn’t make them fake news,” Acosta told Sanders during the daily White House Press Briefing.
“There’s a very big difference between making an honest mistake and purposely misleading the American people.”
“When journalists make honest mistakes, they should own up to them,” fired back Sanders. “There’s a very big difference between making an honest mistake and purposely misleading the American people; something that happens regularly.”
“You cannot say that it’s an honest mistake when you’re purposely putting out information that you know to be false or when you’re taking information that hasn’t been validated, that hasn’t been offered any credibility, and that has been continually denied by multiple people including people with direct knowledge of an incident,” she added.
“I’m speaking about a number of reports that have taken place over the last couple of weeks, I’m simply stating that there should be a certain level of responsibility in that process,” said the Press Secretary. “Jim, I’m going to say once and for all that I’m moving on… And I’m not taking another question from you at this point.”

SMACKDOWN: Huckabee Sanders SHREDS Sen. Warren LIVE On-Air
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders unloaded on hyper-liberal Senator Elizabeth Warren on Monday, saying the American people are “offended” she would “lie about her heritage” to advance her political agenda.
Sanders was fielding questions from reporters at the daily press briefing when she was asked to comment on the President Trump’s passing reference to Warren as “Pocahontas” during a meeting with Native American WWII veterans at the White House.
“At the event that the President just did with the Navajo code-talkers, he referred to ‘Pocahontas’ being in the Senate. Why did he feel the need to say something offensive to so many people while honoring the Navajo code-talkers?” asked one reporter.
“What most people find offensive is Senator Warren lying about her heritage to advance her career,” fired-back Sanders.
“She said it’s a racial slur. What’s your response to that?” pressed the journalist.
“I think that’s a ridiculous response,” said the Press Secretary. “The President certainly finds an extreme amount of value and respect for these individuals, which is why he brought them and invited them to the White House; spending time with them and recognizing them and honoring them today.”
