White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders unloaded on a CNN reporter during her daily briefing Monday, slamming the network over “false accusations” she was ready to step down from her position last week.
Sanders was fielding questions from journalists when she slammed the network over misreporting claims she was prepared to abandon her post as Press Secretary, saying “I’ll take your question since you and your network falsely accused me of not wanting to be here so I will be glad to pass that question on to you now.”
Sanders’ comments came just moments after the Secretary of Homeland Security expanded on the Trump administration’s “zero tolerance” policy towards illegal immigrants; urging Democrats and Republicans to work together to fix the nation’s broken border policies.

CNN SNOWFLAKE: Acosta Urges Reporters to ‘STICK TOGETHER’ Against Sarah Sanders
CNN’s Jim Acosta took his war of words against the White House to a new level this week, urging reporters to “stick together” to challenge Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders during her daily press briefings.
The White House correspondent issued the call on social media Monday afternoon, saying journalists should “insist on answers if somebody is cut off” by the Press Secretary.
“One way to address the briefing is for reporters to stick together when the press sec cuts somebody off. Ideally we could and should insist on answers if somebody is cut off. We don’t do that as much as we should. Problem is there is so little time and so many pressing q’s,” tweeted Acosta.

Acosta’s outright hostility towards the White House is nothing new, with the senior correspondent coming under fire months ago after he publicly harassed the President and his family during the White House Easter Egg festivities.
ACOSTA UNHINGED: CNN Reporter ‘CLARIFIES’ Trump Supporter Smear
CNN senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta found himself in hot-water this week; attempting to clarify his comments that offended Trump supporters and GOP voters across the country.
The network star took to twitter to explain his incendiary remarks revealed by a recent interview with Variety, where he blasted the President’s supporters as not having “all their faculties.”
“The problem is that people around the country don’t know it’s an act. They’re not in on the act and they take what he says very seriously. They take attacks from Sean Spicer and Sarah Sanders, and what they do to us on a daily basis, very seriously,” Acosta said. “They don’t have all their faculties and in some cases their elevator might not hit all floors.”
Acosta backtracked from those comments Wednesday, asserting “As you can plainly see, I’m not referring to Trump supporters.”
Regarding my interview with Variety, my comments have been twisted by some outlets. As you can plainly see, I'm not referring to Trump supporters. I am talking about people who threaten journalists. Links to transcript and video below. https://t.co/SpEBiyVyQd pic.twitter.com/KZ7tkllEHQ
