According to a report from The New York Post, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is preparing to announce his candidacy for President of the United States —and he’s getting Elon Musk involved.
DeSantis is expected to announce during a Wednesday “Twitter Spaces” event with Elon Musk.
A source close to DeSantis confirmed the event would take place at 6 p.m. ET

DeSantis’ announcement is expected to coincide with him formally filing notice of his candidacy with the Federal Election Commission and be followed by a two-day fundraising blitz in Miami later this week. An official kickoff event will take place at a later date in his hometown of Dunedin, Fla.
DeSantis will join former President Donald Trump, talk radio host Larry Elder, former U.N. Ambassador and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy in the race for the White House.
