British comedian Ricky Gervais ripped Hollywood celebrities “complaining from their mansions” during the Coronavirus outbreak this week; saying nurses “doing 14 hour shifts” are the true heroes fighting the pandemic.
“I never want to hear people moaning about nurses again,” Gervais told The Sun newspaper. “These people are doing 14-hour shifts and not complaining. Wearing masks, and being left with sores, after risking their own health and their families’ health selflessly.”

RICKY GERVAIS on OSCAR RATINGS DISASTER: ‘I Tried to Warn Them!’
Comedian Ricky Gervais weighed-in Monday on the ratings disaster that was the 92nd annual Academy Awards; telling Hollywood celebrities he “warned them” to avoid politics during the star-studded event.
“I have nothing against the most famous people in the world using their privileged, global platform to tell the world what they believe. I even agree with most of it. I just tried to warn them that when they lecture everyday, hard working people, it has the opposite effect. Peace,” posted Gervais on social media.

RICKY RIPS HOLLYWOOD: Gervais Slams Elites, ‘Know Nothing of the Real World,’ Take Award and ‘F*** Off’
British comedian Ricky Gervais didn’t hold back during Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles; blasting Hollywood elites for “knowing nothing of the real world” and “lecturing” people about politics.
The ‘Office’ creator ripped large streaming services like Disney and Apple; accusing the iPhone maker of pretending to be “woke” while using sweat shops to manufacture their products.
“So if you do win an award tonight, don’t use it as a political platform to make a political speech. You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything, you know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg. So, if you win, come up, accept your little award, thank your agent… and f*** off. OK?” said Gervais.
