“Do we be as active as we can in electing Joe Biden and doing everything we can to move Joe and his campaign in a more progressive direction? Or do we choose to sit it out and allow the most dangerous president in modern American history to get reelected?” Sanders asked in an interview with The Associated Press.
“I believe that it’s irresponsible for anybody to say, ‘Well, I disagree with Joe Biden — I disagree with Joe Biden! — and therefore I’m not going to be involved,’” he added.
“If people want to vote for me, we’d appreciate it,” Sanders said. “I think you’re going to see significant movement on the part of the Biden campaign into a more progressive direction on a whole lot of issues.”
Sanders publicly endorsed Biden Monday; effectively ensuring the former Vice President’s path to the party’s nomination this summer.

"SNL" tears apart Iowa caucus at Democratic debate in New Hampshire
The cast of SNL parodied the Democratic candidates in their opening skit over the weekend. While the show typically goes easy on Democrats, they went for the jugular this time. As the old saying goes, “there is a grain of truth in every joke.” The truths that this skit points out highlight many of the major weaknesses in the Democratic field of candidates.
The parody kicked off with an announcer stating, “Let’s meet our future MSNBC contributors.” Jason Sudeikis, playing the role of Biden, said, “Joe Biden is going to do what Joe Biden does the best, creep up from behind. Just when you think your lead is safe, my numbers are going to come up and surprise you with a nice, sweet kiss on the neck.”
The live audience erupted when the Saturday Night Live cast members pointed out that Bernie Sanders has spent over one million dollars flying on private jets. Larry David, portraying Sanders, said he likes to fly privately to avoid annoying the flying public with his loud chewing and frequent trips to the bathroom.

2020 VISION: Pete Buttigieg Claims ‘Capitalism Has Let A Lot of People Down’ Across America
South Bend, Indiana Mayor and rising Democratic star Pete Buttigieg slammed American-style capitalism Tuesday; saying he believes the current system “has let a lot of people down” across the country.
“I think the reason we’re having this argument over socialism and capitalism is that capitalism has let a lot of people down,” the mayor told CNN.
“I would say the reverse ought to be true — that at the end of the day, we prioritize democracy,” he added. “And having that framework of a rule of law, of fairness, is actually what it takes for markets to work.”
Buttigieg stunned political insiders in recent days when new polling data showed he had risen to third place among national Democratic candidates; trailing former Vice President Joe Biden and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.
