The Federal government is reportedly investigating Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ former Chief of Staff following his abrupt resignation this week; raising new questions over his role in her election and creation of the ‘Green New Deal.’
“The feds are looking into possible campaign finance misdeeds by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff and lead rainmaker, who suddenly resigned Friday,” reports the New York Post. “The inquiry centers on two political action committees founded by Saikat Chakrabarti, the top aide who quit along with Ocasio-Cortez spokesman Corbin Trent, the sources said. Trent left to join the congresswoman’s 2020 re-election campaign.”
“The brash Chakrabarti, who masterminded Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign and steered her proposed Green New Deal, had caused uproar in the halls of Congress with a series of combative tweets that contributed to a rift between his rookie boss and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi,” adds the Post.
Saikat Chakrabarti made a stunning admission last month; telling the Washington Post the controversial ‘Green New Deal’ is not “a climate thing” but an effort to change “the entire economy.”
Chakrabarti made the surprising statement in a recent interview; spilling the beans on the origins of AOC’s ‘New Deal.’
“The interesting thing about the Green New Deal,” he said, “is it wasn’t originally a climate thing at all.”
“Because we really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing,” he added.

COMMUNISM USA! Cortez Staff Says ‘New Deal’ About ‘Redistributing Power to Workers’
The architects behind the Democrats’ ‘Green New Deal’ continued to fumble its rollout this week, with Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’ Chief of Staff saying the legislation is “about redistributing power to workers and frontline/ marginalized communities.”
“Wrong take. It’s about redistributing power to workers and frontline/marginalized communities. The government acts as a lender and investor in projects, but the resolution is actually very clear about creating community and worker wealth/ownership,” posted the key Cortez staffer.

CORTEZ SPEAKS: Ocasio-Cortez Responds to $1 MILLION FEC Complaint Against Her Campaign
Embattled Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez addressed a recent complaint lodged against her campaign Tuesday; saying “there is no violation” after accusations swirled that a senior staffer “funneled” $1 million in donations to his “private accounts.”
“There is no violation,” Cortez told Fox News as she arrived in Washington, DC.
“No, No,” she insisted.
According to the claim, Cortez’ top aide Saikat Chakrabarti “funneled” nearly $1 million of campaign donations to organizations that he also controlled.
“We were doing something totally new, which meant a new setup. So, we were transparent about it from the start,” said Chakrabarti on social media.
