A stunning new report released by the Office of the Inspector General confirmed Thursday that their investigation recovered over 19,000 “lost” text messages exchanged between former DOJ officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
“The Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General initiated this investigation upon being notified of a gap in text message data collection during the period December 15, 2016 through May 17, 2017, from Federal Bureau of Investigation mobile devices assigned to FBI employees Peter Strzok and Lisa Page relevant to a matter being investigated by the OIG’s Oversight and Review Division,” writes the report.
“The OIG forensically recovered thousands of text messages from FBI mobile devices issued to Strzok and Page through its multiple extraction efforts. Approximately 9,311 text messages were recovered from Strzok’s S5 [Samsung],” adds the document. “Approximately 10,760 text messages were recovered from Page’s S5.”

'NOT HELPFUL': Secret Email Shows Strzok ‘WORRIED’ About Hillary Probe
Recently released emails show anti-Trump DOJ official Peter Strzok worried that former President Barack Obama’s public comments would impact the public’s perception of the ongoing Hillary email investigation.
According to Fox News, the communications show Strzok was highly concerned that the President’s statement was “not helpful” and warned the White House “there is a line they need to hold.”
“Below not helpful,” Strzok wrote to top FBI counterintelligence official. “Certainly the WH is going to do whatever it wants, but there is a line they need to hold with regard to the appearance of non-interference.”
The emails echo similar comments made in James Comey’s new tell-all book, where the former FBI chief claims Obama “jeopardized” the Hillary probe by making comments that caused many to question the administration’s role in the investigation.
“Contributing to this problem, regrettably, was President Obama. He had jeopardized the Department of Justice’s credibility in the investigation,” writes Comey.
CAPITOL CLASH: Peter Strzok to be ‘RECALLED FOR CONTEMPT’ After Fiery Testimony
House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte has reportedly informed anti-Trump FBI agent Peter Strzok he will be recalled to testify later Thursday and may be “voted in contempt” following his refusal to answer key questions surrounding his text messages.
According to Fox News, Goodlatte unveiled his decision after Strzok’s outright rejection of questions regarding his political bias during the 2016 race for the White House.
“Your testimony is essential to this hearing and to our oversight and information gathering functions with regard to the actions taken and decisions made by the Department of Justice and the FBI in 2016 and 2017. I am specifically directing you to answer the question in response to our subpoena,” Goodlatte said. “In a moment we will continue with the hearing but based on your refusal to answer the question, at the conclusion of the day, we will be recessing the hearing and you will subject to recall to allow the Committee to consider a contempt citation.”
“Mr. Strzok, you are under subpoena and required to answer the question,” Goodlatte added.
