REPORT: California Cities Consider ‘Banning Natural Gas Stoves’ to Combat Climate Change

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.14.19

At least 13 towns and cities across California are considering new zoning restrictions that would require all electric appliances; effectively banning natural gas stoves and ovens in kitchens and potentially restaurants.

“Fix global warming or cook dinner on a gas stove? That’s the choice for people in 13 cities and one county in California that have enacted new zoning codes encouraging or requiring all-electric new construction,” reports USA Today.

“The codes, most of them passed since June, are meant to keep builders from running natural gas lines to new homes and apartments, with an eye toward creating fewer legacy gas hookups as the nation shifts to carbon-neutral energy sources,” adds the website.

“There’s no pathway to stabilizing the climate without phasing gas out of our homes and buildings. This is a must-do for the climate and a livable planet,” said Rachel Golden of the Sierra Club.

AOC on Wildfires: ‘This is What Climate Change Looks Like,' US Has '10 Years' Left

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.28.19

Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez weighed-in Monday on the ongoing wildfires ravaging hundreds of acres in California; saying “this is what climate change looks like.”

“This is what climate change looks like. The GOP like to mock scientific warnings about climate change as exaggeration. But just look around: it’s already starting. We have 10 years to cut carbon emissions in half. If we don’t, scenes like this can get much worse,” posted Ocasio-Cortez on social media.

Original Story: October 28, 2019

Two sets of California wildfires fueled by hurricane-force winds devastated California Monday; threatening more than 10,000 buildings in West Los Angeles and countless homes in Northern California.

“Firefighters battled destructive wildfires in Northern California wine country and on the west side of Los Angeles on Monday, trying to beat back flames that forced tens of thousands to flee their homes,” reports the Associated Press.

“California’s biggest utility, Pacific Gas & Electric, cut off power to an estimated 2.5 million people in the northern part of the state over the weekend in yet another round of blackouts aimed at preventing windblown electrical equipment from sparking more fires. And more shut-offs are possible in the next few days,” adds the AP.

The current blaze around Los Angeles has grown to 500 acres.

“I pray for all the families in the area that could be affected,” posted Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. “Pretty please get to safety ASAP.”

BRAIN FREEZE: Los Angeles, California Has Coldest February SINCE 1962

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.26.19

Los Angeles and and the rest of southern California braced for record-setting low temperatures throughout the month, with the National Weather Service confirming the region has seen its coldest temperatures since 1962.

“You think it’s been cold in SW California this month? Check out the link below highlighting Downtown L.A. With just 4 days remaining this month, Feb 2019 ranks as the coldest February at #DTLA since 1962 nearly 60 years ago,” posted the National Weather Service on social media.

The frigid temperatures come as leading Democrats continue their push for the ‘Green New Deal,’ a set of severe rules and restrictions that would tackle “climate change” within the next ten years.
