Vermont Senator and potential 2020 candidate Bernie Sanders will introduce legislation in the coming days to drastically increase the federal minimum wage; setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown with Congressional Republicans heading into the 2020 election season.
“The federal minimum wage of $7.25 is a starvation wage. That is why I, along with many other members of Congress, will introduce legislation this week to raise that wage to $15 an hour. If you work 40 hours a week, you should not live in poverty,” Sanders posted on social media.

BERNIE GOES OFF: Sanders EXPLODES, Calls Trump ‘Liar, Fraud, Narcissist, Bully’
Vermont Senator and potential 2020 candidate Bernie Sanders imploded on social media Friday; calling the Commander-in-Chief a “liar, fraud, narcissist, and bully” who seeks to help just “the wealthy few.”
“The American people are tired of a president who is a liar, a fraud, a narcissist and a bully. They want leadership which unites us, not divides us. They want policies which work for all, not just the wealthy few,” posted Sanders out of the blue.

Sanders’ bizarre comments come just days after President Trump returned from his Christmas visit with American soldiers in Iraq; meeting American service men and women and holding high-level talks with military leadership.
BERNIE VS BEZOS: Sen. Sanders ROASTS AMAZON Over ‘DEMANDING’ Working Conditions
Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders unloaded on Amazon owner Jeff Bezos Tuesday, releasing a scathing statement that slammed the corporation’s “demanding working conditions” and asked employees to share their stories on his website.
Sanders -who just this week blasted Disneyland for refusing to raise their minimum wage- blind-sided Bezos on social media, posting “Amazon is one of the wealthiest corporations in the world, and its owner, Jeff Bezos, is the richest man on the planet, worth over $155 billion.”
“Despite this, Bezos continues to pay many thousands of his Amazon employees wages that are so low that they are forced to depend on taxpayer-funded programs such as food stamps, Medicaid and subsidized housing to survive,” added the statement.

“Amazon is proud to have created over 130,000 new jobs last year alone. These are good jobs with highly competitive pay and full benefits,” added an Amazon spokesperson.
