RELEASE THE MEMO: Paul Ryan Demands FBI ‘CLEANSE,’ Urges MEMO Release

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.30.18

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan called for a “cleansing” at the FBI Tuesday morning, saying the House Intelligence Committee should release a bombshell report that outlines systemic abuse by the Department of Justice in surveilling American citizens.

The Speaker made his stunning remarks while speaking with reporters ahead of President Trump’s State of the Union address, urging the FBI and the DOJ to “disclose” any information they may have on anti-Trump abuse throughout the agency.

“Let it all out, get it all out there. Cleanse the organization,” said Ryan. “I think we should disclose all this stuff. It’s the best disinfectant. Accountability, transparency — for the sake of the reputation of our institutions.”

Ryan’s comments come just hours after the House Intelligence Committee voted to release the controversial memo to the public -despite objections from the FBI and the Justice Department.

The four-page document reportedly outlines widespread abuse of the FISA -or Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act- by DOJ officials to illegally surveil on American citizens; possibly including those with close ties to President Trump in the run-up to the 2016 general election.

RELEASE THE MEMO: DOJ Seeks to BLOCK CONGRESS from Releasing FISA Bombshell

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.25.18

The Department of Justice is seeking to block Congressional leaders from publicly releasing a bombshell memo outlining widespread FISA abuse at the DOJ; telling the House Intelligence Committee it would be “extraordinarily reckless” to publish the documents.

Justice Department officials sent the strongly-worded letter to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes Wednesday, instructing the GOP Representative to seek approval from both the DOJ and the FBI before releasing the explosive material to members of Congress; claiming the move would be detrimental to “national security.”

The bombshell memo reportedly details widespread abuse of the FISA courts to deploy the nation’s top-secret surveillance tools on American citizens; possibly including President Trump and his senior aides in the run-up to the 2016 general election and his inauguration.

The scathing letter from the DOJ denies any abuse of FISA courts or other surveillance systems by the Department of Justice or the FBI.

“As you know, we have provided [the House Intelligence Committee] with more than 1,000 pages of classified documents relating to the FBI’s relationship, if any, with a source and its reliance, if any, on information provided by that source.”

GOP legislators who have seen the memo describe its contents as “jaw-dropping” and claim the report may shed new light on the level of anti-Trump bias at the Department of Justice.

RELEASE THE MEMO: GOP Reps DEMAND Congress Release BOMBSHELL FISA Memo

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.22.18

GOP legislators are pushing the House Intelligence Committee to release a bombshell memo outlining widespread abuses of the nation’s foreign surveillance system, saying the “jaw-dropping” document details anti-Trump bias throughout the Department of Justice ahead of the 2016 election.

Rep. Dave Joyce, a Republican from Ohio, is calling on House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes to release the four-page memo to the general public, telling Fox News that Americans will be “surprised at how bad it is.”

The bombshell document reportedly shows  officials at the Department of Justice routinely and systematically abused FISA -or Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act- Courts to spy on senior Trump associates in the run-up to the President’s inauguration last January.

“It was deeply disturbing as anyone who’s been in law enforcement and any American will find out once they have the opportunity to review it,” Joyce added.

Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz also called on the Committee to publish the document, saying “The House must immediately make public the memo prepared by the Intelligence Committee regarding the FBI and the Department of Justice.”
