Former Senator and top Democrat Harry Reid warned his liberal colleagues to avoid impeachment proceedings against President Trump Wednesday; saying “the less we talk about it the better off we are.”
Despite his all-out assault on the President’s agenda -which he describes as ‘decimating’ US institutions- the former Senate Majority Leader warned Democrats to avert the maneuver at all costs.
“I’ve been through impeachment, and they’re not pleasant,” Reid told NBC News. “And the less we talk about impeachment, the better off we are.”
The former Democratic leader went on to blast the Republican Party, saying wealthy donors were “buying the country for their own commercial interests.”
“With the Republicans, I’m not mad, I’m just terribly disappointed in what they’ve done to the institution,” he added. “I believe the federal government has been so harmed, the legislative branch has been decimated, judicial decimated, checks and balances sliding out the door.”

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi weighed-in on Democratic donors increased calls for Trump’s impeachment Thursday; deflecting the question and saying the issue “is not divisive” among liberal lawmakers.
“On the issue of impeachment, can you just explain a little bit about how Democrats are dealing with those in the party or in the base who are interested in this issue, especially some of the big donors?” asked one reporter during Pelosi’ weekly press briefing.
“It is important for us to win this election so that we can meet the needs of the American people. Whether or not the President should be impeached is a matter being dealt with in the Justice Department,” said Pelosi.
“Many of my members have supported Mr. Green’s [impeachment] amendment when it came to the floor,” she added. “This is not a divisive issue in our caucus.”

Firebrand Congresswoman Maxine Waters once-again doubled-down on her baseless calls for the impeachment of President Trump over the weekend, telling a gathering of California Democrats the ‘Kremlin Klan’ needs to be removed from office.
Waters was speaking to the annual gathering of the California Democratic Party when she launched into her predictable anti-Trump temper tantrum; saying she’s warned Americans for months over the President’s “connections” to Russian officials.
“I cannot wait and I’m counting on special counsel Mueller to connect the dots… Meanwhile Democrats are keeping the faith with the American people,” said Maxine. “You know that there were many who said I stepped out too soon, taking about collusion, talking about obstruction of justice.”
“I said he should be impeached. They said don’t use that word. Don’t say anything about impeachment. Republicans will only use it against us. They’ll say you’re just mad because you lost the election. Democrats, I don’t care what the Republicans say, I say, ‘Impeach 45!’” she chanted.
