MSNBC’s Joy Reid wasn’t too pleased with President Trump’s State of the Union address Tuesday evening, slamming the Commander-in-Chief’s repeated use of the words “family” and “police,” and viciously claiming Trump was using “1950’s-era nationalism” to return the United States to a “bygone era.”
The left-wing host vented her frustration on social media during the President’s primetime speech to the American people, strangely taking offense to the core principles Trump outlined as the backbone of our democracy.
“Church … family … police … military … the national anthem … Trump trying to call on all the tropes of 1950s-era nationalism. The goal of this speech appears to be to force the normalization of Trump on the terms of the bygone era his supporters are nostalgic for,” she tweeted.

It remains unclear what Reid finds particularly foul about the military or the national anthem, other than the fact President Trump is a proud supporter of both American traditions.
PATHETIC: Frederica Wilson Accuses John Kelly of 'Character Assassination'
Florida Congresswoman Frederica Wilson accused President Trump’s Chief of Staff of “character assassination” over the weekend; claiming General Kelly intentionally misled the public over comments she made during a building dedication.
The liberal lawmaker was speaking with MSNBC’s Joy Reid when she was asked to comment on Chief of Staff John Kelly’s press briefing last week, saying the Gold Star father had “lied” about comments she made while addressing an FBI building dedication in south Florida.
“A congresswoman stood up, and in a long tradition of empty barrels making the most noise, stood up there in all of that and talked about how she was instrumental in getting the funding for that building,” said Kelly during the press briefing.
“Not only does he owe me an apology, but he owes an apology to the American people,” said Wilson. “We had four soldiers who died. They have been buried […] And we need to know why, and we need to know about the special circumstances surrounding [slain soldier] La David Johnson.”
The left-leaning legislator made national headlines last week when she accused President Trump of making “insensitive” remarks to the widow of a soldier recently killed in an ambush in Niger, accusing the President of saying “he knew what he was getting into.”

MSNBC MELTDOWN: 'Morning Joe' Says Trump Causing the ‘DESTRUCTION' of Democracy
The full-fledged anti-Trump meltdown at MSNBC marched on Wednesday morning, with ‘Morning Joe’ cohosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski claiming that “bumbling idiot” Donald Trump was intentionally bringing about the “destruction” of American democracy.
The liberal hosts were commenting on recent reports that President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions were weighing a major shake-up at the Department of Justice, including FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.
“If you look at what Andrew McCabe has done in serving this country, he was in the New York field office on the SWAT team. He investigated and had a key role in investigating counter-terrorism after September 11th,” said an unhinged Scarborough.
“This man dedicated his life to you and to your family. Keeping you safe from terror attacks in New York City, in Washington, D.C., across the country,” he added. “Donald Trump has completely blown through every single barrier, every single constitutional protection […] It’s despicable.”
“When is it okay to say that what we are witnessing before our eyes are the rudimentary beginnings of the destruction of a democracy? When should we be worried that this is happening? I say now,” panicked Mika.
