Is the left turning on Newsom?

During Wednesday morning’s edition of Morning Joe, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough blasted California Governor Gavin Newsom for his latest social media strategy: trying to “school Donald Trump.”

Newsom’s official X account has been posting in the voice of President Trump, even aping his style of writing in all caps.

Scarborough is not a fan.

“Democrats are trying to find their footing and it’s quite embarrassing, actually,” Scarborough said. “Gavin Newsom — have you seen what he’s doing online? Just take a deep breath, don’t try to turn the ship 180 degrees. They don’t know what to do. I ahve an idea: instead of trying to ‘school Donald Trump,’ talk into the camera about affordability.”

Scarborough continued: “Donald Trump’s not on the ballot in 26′ or 28′ — why try to drag Muhammad Ali in the ring when you have Chuck Wepner right there?”
