Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi stopped by ABC’s ‘This Week’ Sunday to weigh-in on a series of issues; outright dismissing countless Iranian demonstrators protesting the Islamic Regime after they accidentally downed a Ukrainian passenger jet.
“We’re seeing demonstrations in the streets of Iran against the regime. Do you support those protesters?” asked ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.
“Well, the protesters are protesting about the fact that the plane went down and many students were on that plane,” deflected Pelosi.
“They’re accusing the regime of lying, saying ‘Death to the Dictator’ as well,” pushed-back Stephanopoulos.
“Well, whatever it is. But the fact is, there were protesters in the streets before… There are different reasons why people are in the street,” she added.

“The cause of the crash was not immediately known, and such determinations take months, but Iran’s Fars news agency reported that the jet crashed due to technical problems, without providing more detail. The Ukrainian embassy in Iran said engine failure had caused the crash, citing preliminary information. However, it later removed that statement and said ‘any statements regarding the causes of the accident prior to the decision of the commission are not official,’” adds the website.
