White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki -once again- refused to comment on specific steps the Biden administration is doing to combat record-high inflation; instead telling reporters the issue is being used as a “political cudgel.”
“One in four Americans have experienced some kind of loss of income as a result of higher prices,” said one reporter. “How urgent is it? Is there any sort of specific concern that this is going to affect the overall economy?”
“A lot of the talk about inflation in general out there, it’s become a political cudgel and it shouldn’t be. It’s impacting millions of Americans, no matter their political party,” said Psaki.

New data from the federal government shows a whopping 4.4 million workers quit their jobs in September alone: Raising serious questions over the country’s recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic and other economic crises.
“A record 4.4 million Americans quit their jobs in September, as job openings remained near record levels according to federal data, a sign of how imbalances in the labor market continue to complicate the economic recovery 20 months into the pandemic,” reports the Washington Post.
“Those numbers are up from August, when 4.3 million people who quit their jobs in August — about 2.9 percent of the workforce. September’s quit numbers constituted 3 percent of the workforce,” adds the newspaper.

PSAKI SPINS! Press Sec Says White House Does NOT Ask Facebook to ‘Block Individual Posts’

Psaki confirmed last Thursday that senior Biden officials are working with social media companies to “flag problematic posts” related to COVID-19 and vaccines.
“This is a big issue of misinformation, specifically on the pandemic. We’ve increased disinformation research and tracking. We’re flagging problematic posts for Facebook that spread disinformation,” said Psaki.

PSAKI SPINS: Press Sec Bizarrely Blames Increase in Shootings on ‘Rise of Gun Violence’
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki deflected growing criticism surrounding the Biden administration’s handling of rising crime Thursday; bizarrely asserting that a main factor behind gun violence is “the rise of gun violence.”
“The President gave an entire speech on it… A big driver in the rise of crime is gun violence. That’s a personal passion of his for decades,” said Psaki.
“He also called for an increase of $753 million to federal law enforcement agencies, that includes the ATF!” she added.
Violent crime rates are up roughly 30% across the United States since the COVID pandemic shutdown the country in March 2020.
