The White House announced Friday the restoration of previously lifted sanctions against the Iranian regime that were suspended following the international nuclear agreement; slamming the Islamic Republic with harsh penalties against government officials and businesses.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin announced the sanctions aimed at Iran’s financial, energy, and transportation sectors; specifically targeting the nation’s oil industry.
“We encourage the Trump administration to fulfill the promise of a maximum pressure campaign – no exceptions – until Iran permanently and verifiably changes its behavior,” Chairman and former Sen. Joe Liberman and CEO Mark Wallace, a former U.N. ambassador, said in a statement. “Oil and gas firms, including those from friendly countries like India, South Korea and Japan, should not be granted sanctions waivers.”
President Trump has routinely referred to the Iranian nuclear agreement as one of the “worst deals” in world history; saying it ultimately “saved” the Iranian regime from total collapse.
“They were in big big trouble,” said the President in September. “They needed cash, we gave it to them.”

A NEW DEAL: US Unveils ’12 Requirements’ for New Iran Agreement
United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo unveiled the Trump administration’s list of demands for a new Iranian nuclear agreement this week; calling on leaders in Tehran to halt all uranium enrichment and cease its support for terror groups throughout the Middle East.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Pompeo revealed the preconditions during a speaking event in Washington, DC earlier Monday; saying Iran needs to fulfill “12 basic requirements” to reach a new agreement with the United States to ease crippling economic sanctions.
The list includes halting uranium enrichment, severing its ties with militants operating in the region, and walking away from Iranian involvement in Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, and Afghanistan.
“Relief from sanctions will come only when we see tangible, demonstrated, and sustained shifts in Tehran’s policies,” Mr. Pompeo said. “We acknowledge Iran’s right to defend its people. But not its actions which jeopardize the world’s citizens.”
“These will end up being the strongest sanctions in history by the time we are complete,” added the Secretary of State.
CONSPIRACY TV: MSNBC Host Suggests Trump ENDED Iran Deal to Please Pro-Israel Donor
MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle found herself in hot water Thursday after she suggested President Trump ‘blew up’ the Iranian nuclear agreement to please his wealthy, Israel-supporting donors.
The anchor was speaking with a panel of guests when she questioned the Commander-in-Chief’s true motivation behind ending the Obama-era international agreement; despite promising to do so dozens of times throughout the 2016 election.
“He only blew up the Iran deal because that came from Obama,” said radio host Mark Thompson.
“I don’t know, he only blew up the Iran deal, maybe to please Sheldon Adelson,” said Ruhle, referencing Trump’s staunch supporter and a longtime advocate for the State of Israel.
