President Trump weighed-in this week on the current state of the Democratic primary process; saying it would be a “dream” to run against Beto O’Rourke in the coming months.
Trump was speaking with Fox Business Networks’ Maria Bartiromo Friday when he was asked which liberal leader he hoped to take-on in 2020.
“I mean, I’d love to have Biden. I’d love to have Bernie, I’d love to have Beto. I mean, Beto seems to be the one the press has chosen. The press seems to have chosen Beto,” said the President.
“You have Beto, so you have Beto. And Beto comes out and he says, ‘Let’s take down the wall.’ If you ever took down the wall, this country would be overrun,” he added. “When I watch Beto, I say we could dream about that.”
“But whatever it is — no, I think it’s competence. I think it’s somebody — look. When I first ran, I was never a politician — I ran, I ran on a certain platform. I’ve done far more than I said I was going to do,” concluded the Commander-in-Chief.

BETO RISING: O’Rourke LEADS in New Democrat Poll, Tops Biden, Bernie
Beto O’Rourke topped a list of likely Democratic presidential candidates in a stunning new poll released Tuesday; beating Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Vice President Joe Biden by a slim margin.
The poll, published by NBC News, show Beto leading the pack with 15.6%, Biden at 14.9%, and Bernie Sanders at 13.1%.
29 percent of those asked said they were undecided at the time of the survey.
“It’s another sign of O’Rourke’s surprising popularity among national Democrats and a potentially troubling indication for Sanders, whom MoveOn endorsed in the 2016 Democratic primary. That year, 78 percent of MoveOn members voted to back Sanders over Hillary Clinton,” writes NBC News.
The three likely candidates were followed by Sen. Kamala Harris, Warren, Sherrod Brown, Klobuchar, and Cory Booker.

BETO SLAMS BIBI: O’Rourke Trashes Israel’s Netanyahu, Says He's 'Sided with Racists'
Former Texas Congressman and 2020 presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke slammed Israel’s Prime Minister Wednesday; saying the Middle East peace process has largely failed because Benjamin Netanyahu has “openly sided with racists.”
O’Rourke was speaking at a campaign event in New Hampshire this week when he lashed-out at America’s closest ally in the region.
“Right now we don’t have the best negotiating partners on either side. We have a prime minister in Israel who has openly sided with racists,” said Beto.
“On the Palestinian side, we have an ineffectual leader. Mahmoud Abbas has not been very effective in bringing his side to the table,” he added.
