Embattled California Governor Gavin Newsom was ordered by the courts to pay a Los Angeles Church more than $1 million after he told the congregation they must shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a written statement, Liberty Counsel said, “Under the settlement, California may no longer impose discriminatory restrictions upon houses of worship…This is the first state-wide permanent injunction in the country against COVID restrictions on churches and places of worship. Under the agreed state-wide permanent injunction, all California churches may hold worship without discriminatory restrictions.”

WARREN UNHINGED: Senator Blames Newsom Recall Effort on 'Extremists, QAnon, Anti-Vaxxers'
Senator Elizabeth Warren blasted the “naked partisan power grab” from “extreme right-wing Republicans” on social media Monday night for trying to recall California Governor Gavin Newsom as his state hemorrhages money and residents during the CoVID shutdown.
“In a naked partisan power grab, extreme right-wing Republicans are trying to recall @GavinNewsom. Why? Because he dares to listen to scientists and fights to put power in the hands of working people. Let’s have Gavin’s back,” posted Warren on Twitter.
The comments came with a link, stating “A partisan, Republican coalition of national Republicans, anti-vaxxers, Q-Anon conspiracy theorists and anti-immigrant Trump supporters” are behind the recall movement.
