Secretary of State Mike Pompeo weighed-in on the ongoing Coronavirus crisis Tuesday; saying “disinformation is dangerous” during a global pandemic as the Trump administration works to slow the spread of the disease.
“Every morning I wake up and I read the data set from across the world… We’ve had one of our team members pass away from this, we’ve had 3,000 Americans die. This data set matters. The ability to trust the data is everything,” said Secretary Pompeo.
“This is the reason disinformation is dangerous… I would urge every nation: Do your best to collect the data, do your best to share that information,” he added. “We’re doing that. We’re collecting and sharing.”

“I’m not experiencing any symptoms, and I feel fine and healthy,” Cruz said in the statement. “Given that the interaction was 10 days ago, that the average incubation period is 5-6 days, that the interaction was for less than a minute, and that I have no current symptoms, the medical authorities have advised me that the odds of transmission from the other individual to me were extremely low.”
1. I am announcing that I, along with 3 of my senior staff, are officially under self-quarantine after sustained contact at CPAC with a person who has since been hospitalized with the Wuhan Virus. My office will be closed for the week.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke with Sean Hannity Wednesday night on the global Coronavirus crisis; saying China’s “disinformation campaign” in the early days of the outbreak put “countless lives at risk.”
“We did call in the Chinese Ambassador… This disinformation campaign which began when we began to call-out this risk that was created. They were the first to know, and they wasted valuable days; allowing hundreds of thousands of people to leave Wuhan to travel to places like Italy. They tried to suppress this information,” said Pompeo.
“The Chinese Communist Party didn’t get it right and put countless lives at risk as a result of that,” he added. “We have had an incredibly difficult time getting professional medical people into China.”
