House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi found herself in hot-water with her own party this week, with liberal legislators accusing the top Democrat of “undermining” their efforts to impeach President Trump.
According to Fox News, Pelosi recently told the Dallas Morning Star she wished her left-wing colleagues would stop using “impeachment” in campaign speeches heading into the 2018 midterm elections.
“We have elections,” she said. “Go vote if it’s a policy thing and a behavior thing. I don’t know if you can get impeached for being a jerk, but if we did, this guy would be long gone. But that’s not unifying.”
Rep. Al Green -who has been calling for Trump’s removal from office for months- pushed back against the former Speaker, saying she was “trivializing his bigotry.”
“Trivializing his bigotry also allows Trump supporters to hypothesize that while Trump may be an objectionable jerk he is not an impeachable bigot, which is not true,” said Green.

ARMAGEDDON AGAIN: Pelosi Warns of a ‘CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS’ Over FISA Memo
Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi continued her all-out war against the House Intelligence Committee and President Trump Friday afternoon, telling reporters the President will spark a “constitutional crisis” should he use the recently released FISA memo to fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
Pelosi addressed reporters just hours after Congressional leaders publicly disclosed the four-page document; showing the debunked ‘Trump Dossier’ was used by the FBI and DOJ to secure FISA warrants to spy on “at least one” senior Trump aide.
“With the memo… [Trump] has abdicated his responsibilities as Commander-in Chief to protect the American people by protecting our intelligence sources and the rest,” Pelosi told CBS News.
“If the President uses this fake, horrible release of distorted intelligence as an excuse to fire [Deputy Attorney General Rod] Rosenstein or [special counsel Robert] Mueller, it could lead to a constitutional crisis.”
The House Minority Leader’s fiery rhetoric comes on the heels of her official statement regarding the memo, where she bizarrely referred to the de-classified material as a “bouquet” from President Trump to Vladimir Putin.
BLUE WAVE CRASHING: Pelosi VOWS to Run for Speaker if DEMS Take Congress
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi set off alarm bells throughout Democratic circles Thursday, confirming her plans to run for Speaker of the House should her party retake control of Congress after the 2018 midterms.
Pelosi’s comments were warmly received by Republicans across the country heading into the elections; with GOP strategists planning to tie their opponents to the unpopular Democrat as American voters head to the polls.
“We will win. I will run for speaker. I feel confident about it. And my members do, too,” Pelosi told the Boston Globe this week.
“It’s important that it not be five white guys at the table, no offense,” she added, referencing the top positions in Congress and the White House. “I have no intention of walking away from that table.”
“She is the most unpopular politician in every single competitive district in the country,” said a spokesperson for the National Republican Congressional Committee, who welcomed the news of her run for Speaker of the House.
