PANIC AT THE LINGO: Democrats in Full-On Panic After Fetterman's Speech Troubles at Debate

posted by Hannity Staff - 10.27.22

Time to worry, Democrats.

After John Fetterman’s disastrous debate on Tuesday night, in which he displayed obvious difficulties with speech and language comprehension, the Democratic Party is in a full-on panic to control the fallout —many say he shouldn’t have been up there at all, calling it “painful to watch.”

“[F]ellow Democrats are second-guessing his decision to appear on stage five months after a stroke — and some question whether he should have remained on the ballot at all,” one NBC article began.

Chris Kofinis, a veteran Democratic campaign strategist, put it bluntly to NBC: “He should not have debated. Anyone on his team who agreed to a debate should be fired, or never work again, because that debate may have tanked his campaign.”

From Fox News:

Several Democrats were apparently “shocked” by the extent of Fetterman’s speaking difficulties during the debate, leaving some Democrats to question why he was still running.

One senior Senate Democratic aide told NBC they found Fetterman’s performance “startling.”

“I really question the judgment that he continued with this race,” the person said.

“Folks are pretty much freaking out on the Dem side,” Khari Mosley, a Pittsburgh-based Democratic consultant and grassroots activist added.

Others blasted the Fetterman campaign for agreeing to only four nationally televised interviews up until a few weeks ago.

“Their team has been ignoring what tons of strategists and insiders have been saying for months: We’ve expressed our concerns many, many times about being more transparent,” the anonymous source told NBC.

Team Fetterman says they are “thrilled” with John’s performance —and blamed all flubs on technical difficulties.

“We are thrilled with John’s performance. He did remarkably well tonight — especially when you consider that he’s still recovering from a stroke and was working off of delayed captions filled with errors. John won countless exchanges, counter-punched aggressively, and pushed back on Oz’s cruelty and attacks,” said Joe Calvello, Fetterman’s communications director.

A new Hannity exclusive poll shows Oz up on Fetterman post-debate: Oz 48%, Fetterman 45%.
