Rep. Ilhan Omar doubled-down on her fiery defense of Venezuela’s brutal socialist regime Thursday; bizarrely claiming the United States was rapidly preparing for the “eventual invasion of this country.”
Omar was speaking with the Intercept when she refused to acknowledge Venezuelan Opposition Leader Juan Guaido as the Interim President of the impoverished country; saying “Well, the constitution of Venezuela says that there needs to be an election called within 30 days and we’re waiting for that to happen.”
The congresswoman directly accused the Trump administration of organizing a ‘coup’ in Venezuela just weeks ago.
A US backed coup in Venezuela is not a solution to the dire issues they face. Trump's efforts to install a far right opposition will only incite violence and further destabilize the region. We must support Mexico, Uruguay & the Vatican's efforts to facilitate a peaceful dialogue.

“What we should be involved in is having diplomatic conversations and bringing people to the table and being a partner in facilitating that. But we are threatening, we are threatening intervention. We’re sending humanitarian aid that is in the guise of, you know, eventually invading this country and the people of the country don’t want us there,” she added.

OMAR GOES OFF: Rep. Omar Compares ‘Immoral’ Israel with 1960s USA, Says ‘Not a Democracy’
Recently sworn-in Congresswoman Ilhan Omar doubled-down on her previous anti-Israeli remarks this week; directly comparing the Jewish State with the United States during the Civil Rights era and saying they’re simply “not a democracy.”
Ilhan was responding to a previous post on social medal that claimed Israel’s “not a real Democracy” because millions are “denied the right to vote.”
Many of them truly know this, but don’t want to accept it. In the same way many Americans knew separate yet equal was immoral but remained silent until brave few were silent no more.
They can attack, spin my words and vilify me, but they will not succeed in silencing me! https://t.co/JSwhoSQuGF

OMAR GOES OFF: Rep. Omar Says Trump ‘Policing Women' with Late-Term Abortion Proposal
Rep. Ilhan Omar unloaded on the President just hours after his widely-popular State of the Union address Tuesday; accusing Trump of attempting to “police women’s bodies” after he called for a late-term abortion ban.
“If Trump thinks pivoting from his failed vanity wall to policing women’s bodies and choices is going to help his 2020 chances he has another thing coming,” posted Omar on social media.

“To defend the dignity of every person, I am asking the Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in the mother’s womb,” said the President during his address.
