Members of the Utah National Guard deployed to restore law and order from violent protesters in Washington, DC were abruptly removed from a local hotel, a move the Mayor said was prompted over a “budget issue.”
“The Utah National Guard confirmed Friday that 200 service members are being kicked out of hotels in the nation’s capital as D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser clashes with President Trump over the handling of the George Floyd protests in the city,” reports Fox News.
“Bowser, who wants all non-D.C. troops out of the city, blamed the National Guard relocation on a budget issue and said the city will not pay for the accommodations — amid days of protests over racial injustice, some of which have been violent,” adds Fox.

“Last night, we were informed that our service members would be relocated from their hotel rooms,” the Utah National Guard said in a statement Friday.
“It has been heartbreaking for our Utah National Guard service members to witness the pain, suffering, and frustration in our communities across the nation,” the National Guard added. “The Utah National Guard has been supporting civil authorities with our top priority of protecting lives as well as preserving property and critical infrastructure in our nation’s capital.”
“This is overbilling,” claimed the Mayor.

BAD EDUCATION: AOC Ignores Founding Fathers, Says DC Residents ‘Second Class Citizens’
Controversial Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez threw her full support behind the Democrats’ recent push to make Washington, DC the 51st state; completely ignoring the Founding Fathers’ intent on creating an autonomous federal district.
“DC was the 1st territory in the United States to free the enslaved. It’s where Black Americans fled the tyranny of slavery & towards greater freedom, to DC. Yet today it’s where 2nd class citizenship reigns, and the right to vote is denied. It’s time to recognize DC statehood,” posted AOC on social media.

Democrats in the House of Representatives launched a historic bid to transform the District of Columbia into a full-blown state this week; a move that would give the federal territory one Congressperson and two Senators.
“House Democrats, in their first hearing on D.C. statehood in more than 25 years, on Thursday advocated for the District of Columbia to become the country’s 51st state as Republicans raised concerns about recent corruption scandals involving local D.C. officials,” reports Fox News.
“Critics of D.C. statehood have long cited local corruption as one reason to oppose statehood,” adds Fox. “Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, the top Republican on the House Oversight and Reform Committee, said he wanted Thursday’s hearing to delve into the ongoing scandal involving D.C. Councilman Jack Evans.”
“Sadly the allegations against Mr. Evans are just the latest in a series of local D.C. political scandals,” Jordan said. “We cannot and should not ignore these unpleasant facts.”
Earlier this week, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser installed hundreds of ‘51-star’ flags across Washington to signal her support for statehood.
“DC veterans have served and died for their country, yet they lack representation in Congress. Join us tomorrow as we raise the 51 star flag, honor our vets and rally behind DC statehood,” posted the Mayor on social media.
CAPITAL CHAOS: DC Mayor Says She Was ‘OUTRAGED’ When Law Enforcement ‘Moved Out’ Protesters
DC Mayor Muriel Bowser claimed she was “outraged” Tuesday after “federal law enforcement officials” cleared a local park of protesters to ensure the safety of the President of the United States.
“We were very shocked and quite frankly outraged. People who were not violating the curfew and who did not seem to have provoked attack were attacked and moved out by federal law enforcement officials, who were directed to clear the way for the President,” said Bowser.

Anti-police riots continued Monday night as thousands of protesters targeted members of law enforcement across the country; leaving at least six officers shot and a member of the NYPD a victim of a “hit and run” in the Bronx.
“Las Vegas Sheriff Joe Lombardo said two shooting incidents took place amid protests across the city Monday night,” reports ABC News. “In the first incident, an officer was shot while engaging with protesters near the Circus Circus hotel and casino.”
“Our officers were attempting to take rocks and bottles from the crowd,” said Lombardo. “Officers were attempting to get some of the protesters in custody when a shot rang out and our officer went down.”
In New York City, a member of the NYPD was targeted in a “hit and run” vehicular attack in the Bronx.
“The officer was mowed down at the intersection of East 170th Street and Walton Avenue in Mt. Eden by the driver of a dark sedan,” reports the New York Post.
