Border Czar Tom Homan spoke with CNN’s Dana Bash this week about the deportation efforts being carried out by ICE; “This is the difference between the last administration and this administration — ICE is going to enforce the immigration law.”
Bash was taken aback by Homan’s aggressive stance on deportations — and seemingly shocked that an illegal migrant doesn’t have to be convicted of a crime to face deportation.
“Let me make sure I understand what you’re saying — because at first you said the first targets are those with criminal records. But you’re also saying that those who are undocumented in the U.S. who don’t have criminal records … they could be swept up with ICE as well?” Bash asked.
“What I’m telling you is that when we go to find our priority target, who is a criminal alien, if he is with other people who are in the country illegally, we’re going to enforce the immigration law,” Homan confirmed.
