Mass deportations are underway — and it’s a new day at the DOJ…
According to a Fox News report and a DOJ memo, state and local officials will be investigated if they obstruct federal agencies from enforcing Donald Trump’s immigration agenda.
“The Justice Department must, and will, work to eradicate these threats,” Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove, Trump’s former defense attorney, wrote in the memo. “Indeed, it is the responsibility of the Justice Department to defend the Constitution and, accordingly, to lawfully execute the policies that the American people elected President Trump to implement.”
The memo continued, “The Justice Department’s responsibility, proudly shouldered by each of its employees, includes aggressive enforcement of laws enacted by Congress, as well as vigorous defense of the President’s actions on behalf of the United States against legal challenges. The Department’s personnel must come together in the offices that taxpayers have funded to do this vitally important work.”
Border Czar Tom Homan told Fox News that ICE agents have created “target sheets” prioritizing the arrests of illegal immigrants who are deemed threats to public safety.
“ICE teams are out there as of today,” Homan told Fox News host Trace Gallagher. “We gave them the direction to prioritize public safety threats. That’s what we’re looking for. We’ve been working with a target list.”
“ICE officers throughout the country were told today, ‘Go make arrests of those here illegally that have a public safety threat.’ So they’ve developed target sheets, an operational plan to go out in the field … so they’re out there right now looking for the most serious public safety threats throughout the country,” Homan said.
